Yeah I think we are particularly unlucky with who we are surrounded by. We tried to move last year, but no seats together to move to

It's a solid win against a decent side. Cullen, Roberts, CJ and Anthony I thought had great games and If Trafford doesn't pack it in, some are going to have no option but to eat humble pie.

We defend well. That's clearly our modus operandi and there's no use bellyaching for us to play more expansive football, this is what it is and like under Dyche, we'll learn to find the beauty in a well drilled, organised team once more.

With that said, it remains a tough watch offensively. Sarmiento on the left was frustrating me. Many times in the first half Pires was looking to carry the ball forwards and you'd want Sarmiento to stretch the defence with a run forwards and create space for him, but he'd just stop where he was. Other times there'd be huge gaps between our forward players as Hannibal and JS shall we say wanted to be quite fluid with their positions and it left us without options in our attacks. All stuff to work on and it will come as the team learn more about each other. :D

Been a significant difference in our attacking play since the Millwall game in my eyes, which was followed by WBA away where we were denied by an inept decision; that would've given us 4 wins in 4 and joint top now.
We'd be top - not joint. Sheff U have scored more goals than us but we would have a superior goal difference. I'm still annoyed about that appalling decision.

Quite right. That goal would have us +1 higher.

First half, especially, we had far more getting upfield behind the player on the ball. First time this season it was noticeable. Second half was different because of our early goal and I’m not complaining. Game management once we have a lead is a joy to watch.

Can't believe that some of the 'usuals' were crying 'boring' in a match that we controlled from start to finish while also playing some good stuff. Got to ask what some people get out of watching football.

For me, last night was our best performance so far this season and it's great to see this team grow. SP is doing a top job with our young squad. You can tell there's a real team spirit there, and this would have be no easy feat, given our last season and this season's fire sale when half the squad wanted to walk.

Second in the table - get in!

In Parker's post match interview he says that during his first 4 months in charge training was primarily focussed on defensive organisation. Whereas for the last month, it's been much more balanced in terms of attacking intent as well as defence.

It wasn't just the usual suspects, though. After 80% of that first half, pundits, national newspapers, and media journalists were tweeting about what a bore fest it was... Even the commentator hinted at it multiple times... Up until then, the ground was like a church, too, with many folding arm poses being seen in the crowd... We did pick up the pace though but Parker needs to get this team improving to stop the rot when it comes to empty seats and atmosphere... We are improving though!

You can tell, as well.
I commented on this thread last night that we look to be less nervous when he have the ball. The players look to have more confidence and composure, especially Trafford and the defence. We're not there yet of course but we're growing as the season goes on and going in the right direction.

Outstanding I'd say. If we can keep that going and start sticking a few more in the onion bag with players we've got coming back shortly it bodes very well.
