Rovers ‘goal’ last night
Surprised there has been no post on this.
Clearly offside and the linesman on the far side is way behind play.

I think our fans probably not bothered about that one! We can all see boro going on a run I’m glad they stopped it tbh.because I’ve certainly no fear that that them lot will be anywhere near the top 6 come may.

I honestly don't think most folk would care, unless we are playing them I pay zero attention to them other than aquick check where they are in the table.

Re: Rovers ‘goal’ last night
Linesman almost level with the ball so anyone in front of him can be called offside. I believe the doubt on this occasion is about whether the guy at the far post is interfering with play.

Not even close.
There are some terrible officials in this division.

I can't see where the ball is in this pic though I thought it looked offside at the time (on TV) I don't recall any replays showing a view that made it clear. A well constructed goal otherwise, as was Coventry's offside goal.

Probably helps us, but that is dire from the linesman. I would love to know what his thinking was there, even from his angle it should be clear that the scorer is in front of everyone.

Linesman should be level with the last man not the ball but in this case he should still be able to see he is clearly offside. Not overly bothered though as it put a halt to Boro’s good run.

You've had a mare

Just because a player is in front of the ball doesn't necessarily mean he is offside. Oh, that and the fact that the bloke at the far post is the scorer (as has been pointed out previously)

More offside than the one that was called offside earlier.

Re: Rovers ‘goal’ last night
I was taught that the lino should be in line with the last defender. As it was a slow build up across that 10yds of the penalty area he’s had a ‘mare.
It is their lucky ground they have only had 1 defeat in 16 at ‘Boro.
Photo below is from live action so not exact but Cantwell has just played it and Hyam is clearly offside.

Ironically, he would look even more offside from the lino's p!ss poor positioning.
Anybody's guess why he didn't flag.
