Re: U21s v Birmingham
So Worrall and Ekdal are closer to first team action than Delcroix. Delcroix makes us 3 players who can play left back.

Re: U21s v Birmingham
I would have liked to see more of Delcroix after his appearance at Spurs in the cup last season but with the depth we have at cb he looks like the prime candidate to ship out

Good to see Ekdal having presumably come through his first U21 match without problems.

I assume ecc means that Ekdal felt no ill effects after his last U21 outing.

Re: U21s v Birmingham
Didnt Ekdal and Redmond both make their comebacks against Blackburns U21s a couple of weeks back ? Since then there have been 3 more U21 games which I dont think Ekdal has featured in , whereas Redmond has been on the bench for the first team.

Westley hat trick.
Cross from Pye, keeper saves Westley shot but he heads home the rebound.

Superb goal from McDermott, looping it into the top corner from just outside the box.

Re: U21s v Birmingham
Brilliant save from the Brum keeper to deny Westley but flag up for offside
Re: U21s v Birmingham
Is Scott Parker there Tony?
Re: U21s v Birmingham
Westley seems to score lots goals. Hes 20 … any chance he could step up to first team ??
Re: U21s v Birmingham
Yes, that's at least two people who are keeping up.randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:24 pmDidnt Ekdal and Redmond both make their comebacks against Blackburns U21s a couple of weeks back ? He played against Rovers on 15 November.

Hopefully they get him out in January to a league 2 side if he's good enough.

Fully aware of that as posted but find it very strange to wait until 15 minutes gone over two weeks later to post it.

That's the worry, the jump is much bigger than people realise but sometimes football at that level is difficult when you've come through academy's playing a different way and it just doesn't workClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:49 pmHe’s had two National League loans and appears to have struggled

True that, you usually see an average League Two side get the better of the biggest and best u21 sides in that Papa Johns thing. Different game at senior level.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:51 pmThat's the worry, the jump is much bigger than people realise but sometimes football at that level is difficult when you've come through academy's playing a different way and it just doesn't work

Re: U21s v Birmingham
Bauress shot tipped onto bar by the keeper who then grabs the follow up. Birmingham then go down to the other end and force Forshaw into a top save.
