Boro won’t be far off so not a bad result, but for better choices could have won it .

We played excellent 1st half but faded in the second . Couldn't understand why you'd put Hannibal on the right wing . Fair result in the end .

I thought we were good enough for a win today.

Personally think that if Anthony or Hannibal pass the ball when they had the two chances in the second half we would have scored, both would have given us a clear cut chance and both of them chose the greedy option- really pi**es me off.

I think bringing Sarmiento off was a mistake.

Frustrated and a bit disappointed despite a decent performance- felt like the win was there for us today.

Poor match. Happy with a point. They had better footballers all over the field whilst we are stuck with the system.
Belting game of football, draw probably the right result. We were superb after going one down in the first half they had the more clear cut chances in the second half.Anyone who thinks it was a poor match obviously has an agenda.

Fair result.

We were better but I sensed we wouldn’t want to risk losing it. That’s why I went for 1-1 in the prediction league. I hate that pragmatism, especially at home, but I understand it. Very Dyche-like.

Ultimately it was a game neither team could afford to lose.

Where I disagree is that we had 2 points to gain from a goal and 1 point to lose from a goal against (but head to head, I suppose, it is 3). Ironic that one simple pass from Anthony and we win the game via Brownhill. Hannibal a similar culprit.

So I think I am praising Scotty, but I loved the “go for it at all costs” under Kompany at THIS level.

For as good as we were first half we created nothing bar a winder strike. If we concede we won’t win many matches.

I'm happy to take a draw.

Lottery of a game in those conditions.

Boro played the ref the whole game until he realised in the last 5 minutes they were diving.

We missed CJER massively as there was no quality out ball from the back.

Overall a good point against a good side and we come from behind which is always a positive sign.

The main thing is we didn't get beat in awful conditions with a makeshift defence aginst a good side who obviously knew the ref was soft.

We move onto the next one.

I don’t think there needs to be a huge inquest after this one. Awful weather, decent opposition, let’s take the point and move on.

Yup. Arsenal would have rolled around shouting for cards and then got them.

I actually agree that the ref sort of got it right. Nobody was really hurt. Prem: he was off.
I’m not gunna get too irate about it because the alternative is a 5 min pause and a sending off. The ref missed it, we move on. It’s much better this way.

I honestly don’t see how the subs were negative
Jay rod - Flemming
Sarmiento - Hannibal
Egan - pires pushing Humphrey’s into cb
Koleosho - Laurent because let’s be honest Luca looked goosed.

Except for the last one they are pretty much like for like

Yes very much like a Dyche performance and the pragnatism should help the transition to Premier League football....hopefully.

Difficult to know whether to stick or twist in those conditions to be fair so happy with the draw.

After pegging Middlesbrough back once they'd gone one up it was nice to see a team actually trying to go for it and put us under some pressure.
Our reaction to going behind was second to none and they threw a few punches back 2nd half. All in all, we looked happy with a point, which at this stage of the season is fair enough. SP is a wise fella and knows there are plenty of points and more crucial periods of the season to come. We looked for a winner, but both sides will certainly be happy with a point.

Looking at the forecast, some games could easily get called off over the weekend - I'd much prefer to have a point against a good team then have to play a rearranged fixture later on in the year!

Excellent game played by two good teams in awful conditions.
I thought the first half was the best we have played all season.
A bit concerned that some of the subs were forced rather than choice.
Happy with a draw in the end.

I thought we were good first half and was happy with a point given the worsening conditions in the second half.

The first set of subs weakened us. I’m not sure what we’ve bought with Flemming.

Fair result in difficult conditions. We played well in the first half though our final ball throughout the game was poor: I get so frustrated watching Koleosho, Anthony and Hannibal constantly giving the ball away when there are other players in better positions. Parker really does need to coach those three players in particular to use the ball better and stop being so bloody naive and selfish.

Whilst the conditions made the game difficult, for both sides, our inabilities up front just seem more and more obvious
Not sure how many times Jay actually touched the ball and Flemming looks no better
Jay has scored 2 goals and Flemming 1
Just hope Santa can find a striker

This.

Given we have been behind only a handful of times this season, the way we responded with urgent tempo was impressive.

I didn’t like that the tempo ended when we equalised. So I’m a hung jury currently.

Flemming is not a 9 and hannibal is not a 10. Each player they brought on is naturally better playing deeper.

I really enjoyed that game overall we give a good performance.Really winds me up though we don’t win a do and the supporters slag half the team of individually.Quite clearly some didn’t perform tonight, your going to get that with consistency.Very toxic on here still with a good few!

Sarmiento took 2 or 3 knocks in quick succession and was struggling a little bit, although didn't look happy being subbed.

Boro are a good side and so are we and although we were way better first half, either team could have stolen it second half as both had enough decent openings. I actually thought Parker got his subs wrong which he doesn't usually do, but it took away our momentum. Hannibal was hopeless, if you're going to play Flemming as a lone striker then you might as well just keep Jay on and moving Humphreys to CB (which allegedly is his preferred position?) gave Boro loads of opportunity. Anyway, in the end I was pretty happy with the point.

Keep expecting Fleming to offer more. Hes been so disappointing so far.
I feel for him. I bet he'd love to play behind Jay. He comes on as a 9, generally along with less attacking substitutions. He usually plays 15-25 minutes and doesn't get many opportunities. He needs to be facing the other way with the ball, and he's clearly a good player at this level. I can 100% see a player in there, he's just not being used in the right way

Agree! Never ceases to amaze me how a professional footballer can’t make a simple decision to pass to a teammate stood with the goal at his mercy! Really poor from Hannibal and Anthony!

I thought we were good first half and was happy with a point given the worsening conditions in the second half.

The first set of subs weakened us. I’m not sure what we’ve bought with Flemming.
He needs to be in the number 10 with Jay up top
