I thought Humphrey’s was bang average at fault in there goal to
He has a very shaky start and, without seeing the goal back, I had him as being at fault for their goal, too.
After that though, I thought he was pretty decent, defensively.

When we were rumoured to be in for him there was some on here saying he wasn’t up to it,you could see off that one performance at the turf that he was more than up to it even though he didn’t bag,I just didn’t see that with Doak tonight except for that one run in the first half.
Fair enough pal. I thought his balance, pass choices and strength for a small guy made him stand out a lot but it’s all perceptions I guess.

He took on more players creating his chance in the first half than Luca has all season.

I put their goal down to Egan playing the scorer onside. As an aside is Gyokeres the guy who was about to sign for us but then the deal cancelled because of gambling debts or am I mixing names?

Surprised at some of the comments here. Humphries did a great job on him. There was only that one run where he looked very good. After that Humphries pretty much pocketed him.

Thought he was excellent.
Yes Humphries won his share of the battle, but he got the better of our left hand side several times.
For an 18 yo to have that much composure and confidence really is something special.

Boros best player by some distance was their goal scorer.

Incredibly talented young lad.
He’s exactly what our fans think Koleosho is, except he is actually that good.

He'll be off to a middling PL club in January, no doubt.
He’s on loan from Liverpool, who think he has a bright future.

Best player on the pitch. What makes him better is his low centre of gravity. He had tremendous balance and strength. He should go a long way.

Pre-match Boro fans highlighted Ben Doak as being the “ Danger man “ for them which is why I suspect Humphrey’s was given the job of marshalling him , I thought Humphrey’s did a great job on an exceptional talent from Liverpool, two really good developing players on show to night .

Exactly what I said mate. Sometimes you can just tell when a player ‘has it’

Best player on the pitch is a bit of a stretch for me - I thought Sarmiento was more influential overall - but very good player who was well dealt with Humphreys. Would have him here in a heartbeat.

Have to say he looks as though he really has something. Tidyness on the ball, trickery, pace ...... and the key to being able to think he'll do well in the PL is, he can cheat like a good 'un

As I said on the match thread yesterday, he is, already, what Koleosho needs to become

I believe Liverpool have high hopes for him, he won't be going anywhere.
