Pitch Invader
The dick near the end of the game will he get a lifetime ban?
Re: Pitch Invader
Braindead
But so we're those cheering him on with "you'll always be a claret" from the same part of the ground that sung the jack walker song.

That really was the most idiotic chant I've heard in years, and it's had some competition.

I did think the stewards attempts to chase him were pretty funny. It was like a Benny Hill sketch with the slowest security staff sent on to sort him out.

File under the rest of the pitch invaders we've had....idiots.
The only one classic moment to come from the pitch invasion idiocy was the Bertie Bee rugby tackle against PNE.
Now that was funny and worth cheering for.

Re: Pitch Invader
I'm sure it wasn't the case, but watching on TV it sounded like a LOT were singing it. Embarrassing.
Re: Pitch Invader
The pitch invader numpty did a great job for Boro They were going down left right and centre wasting time and this idiot gave them a minute, maybe a minute and a half- on top of that the ref could not wait to blow the whistle early.
As for the chants - words fail me on the mentality of some people who attend our games.

I'm struggling - none of these words should be deleted from what I saw last night

I still haven’t worked out why he did it. Anyway for whatever reason a life time ban should be imposed.

Idiot. Hopefully gets a banning order.
It was like watching a Benny Hill rerun in slow motion though.
How dumb must you be to think that you are going to get away with what he did ?
At least he escaped a good old fashioned kick in from the rozzers

Re: Pitch Invader
He only looked about 14 from the upper longside and if he was then the stewards behaviour was appalling.
Once the 3 stewards had hold of him and he was walking off without any fuss, one of the stewards decides they had to trip him up and get him on the floor.
Luckily 2 stewards with a braincell come and led him away.
Hopefully the steward is sacked. He's not a bouncer from the 80s/90s.
The pitch invader will get a ban rightfully.

Re: Pitch Invader
He looked like he weighed about 3 stone wet through and it took three of them to bring him down.
Why that one lad decided to bring him down when theyd already got him and were frogmarching him away I don't know but i felt embarrassed for him, he was about three times the size and must have been a few more BPM from a coronary failure.

Re: Pitch Invader
I thought that was why he was cheered! Showing us his moves!
The funniest bit was him goading the two chasers at the end, before being captured from behind!
I think the chant from Cricket field was more in irony, as he faces a life ban and will never be seen again! Brainless idiot.
Re: Pitch Invader
He was struggling to get free, once captured. No time for him. Stewards had to get him under control. No issue.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 12:53 pmHe only looked about 14 from the upper longside and if he was then the stewards behaviour was appalling.

The singing about jack walker is disgusting and shameful.
The Boro fans were singing something similar first but I couldn't hear what the words were.
That triggered the goons on the other side of the divide.

People may say stop being a snowflake and say “we can sing what we want”, but they really need to think about how they would feel hearing it, if a member of their family had gone through that

Burnley fans never saw Kenny Dagleish in a pub they used to frequent.
George Oghani didn't steal an ironing board.
Defour wasn't better than Zidane.
Jeff Hendrick wasn't better than Christiano.

Re: Pitch Invader
Yes, he broke the current regulations about entering the field of play which would probably incur a long term/ lifetime ban.
However, there is no solution to circumventing the rules.
Last night I was going through the turnstiles and due to the weather conditions I had my hood and collar covering the vast majority of my face.
Facial Recognition systems would have no chance to stop me entering the ground. If I had previous history of football related offences I could easily obtain a ticket online.
Then we have the 'Keystone Cops' situation where the bloke runs onto the pitch being chased by untrained, unfit, poorly paid stewards who just wanted to dry off and go home.
Was there much Police presence inside.the ground at the time ? I suspect that it would be minimal due to financial considerations.
