They recruited really well close season.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 4:01 pmI'd be surprised of they don't win the league comfortably.
We're showing signs of 'Jelling'.
And both Leeds & Boro will get up there.
Boxing Day's going to be a Big 'Un. We don't lose there and reckon we'll have marked their card.

What a ridiculous couple of penalties to give away.

Re: Today's Football
Carragher claims Spurs’ pitch is “huge”. Hmmm, same size as Turf Moor. In fact most pitches are pretty similar these days.

Re: Today's Football
Spurs are an absolute disaster and that moody Aussie in charge is going to have to be a little less intransigent.
Re: Today's Football
I can’t see the Spurs fans and the owner putting up with Ange Postecoglou’s stewardship for too much longer.

Not talking at all would be preferable.

Always like watching a Spurs v Chelsea game.
Graeme Le Saux is on co commentary on the channel I’m watching on. He’s pleasing on the ear.

Re: Today's Football
Carragher is usually unbearably obnoxious, today he’s been far worse.

The Aussie bloke is very similar to Kompany.
Can’t or won’t change his system for the betterment of the team.
He will no doubt be sacked soon

It cannot be ascertained if he did change his methods/system whether it'd improve the performances/results. I agree levy will probably let him go but it's hardly a new thing with levy & underwhelming managers being let go.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 6:44 pmThe Aussie bloke is very similar to Kompany.

Re: Today's Football
So Ipswich, with the brightest young coach and having spent 110 million aren't mid table and blowing teams away. Remarkably, there will still be some shocked at that.

I missed this as I was playing football myself but sounds a great game.
I'm going to watch the battle of Stamford bridge instead (not that one) whilst I have my tea. One of my favourite games and well worth 6 minutes of your time.

City letting Cole Palmer go for 40 million looks worse and worse every week.

Surely that's only the case if all three promoted clubs keep getting relegated for the next few seasons.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 7:18 pmSo Ipswich, with the brightest young coach and having spent 110 million aren't mid table and blowing teams away. I suspect if that were to happen then there would have to be a re-think as it wouln't look good for the PL.

I like Ange
In a world where managers get zero time I feel if they gave him time he would get them super competitive
Managers in and out won’t work

Best business we have done under pace was getting 10m for him.
No decent goalkeeper goes out to the corner of his box like that today.
Muric has some great qualities, decision making isn't one of them.

It’s increasingly obvious why Kompany looked to replace.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 8:13 pmNo decent goalkeeper goes out to the corner of his box like that today.

Trafford at the time probably wasn’t the answer but it’s obvious why there was no confidence there.

It was a season too soon for Trafford, but I'm sure he will be playing in the PL next season.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 8:22 pmIt’s increasingly obvious why Kompany looked to replace.

I didn't catch all of the match but from what I saw the players need to have accountability. Ridiculous penalty to give away and Son either needed to score or pass it.

There was an Ipswich fan on 606 last night bemoaning Muric’s performances and “howlers” this season and comparing him unfavourably with Hladky
Re: Today's Football
I always wonder with Muric. He suddenly let's one in, after a series of heroics. An odd occurrence by the Kosovan keeper...boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 8:13 pmNo decent goalkeeper goes out to the corner of his box like that today.

Muric is way out of his depth in the Premier League.
