Re: Clarts vs Derby
Derby fans at work were lining up to tell me how crap they are.
So fully expecting to beat them tonight.
Disappointing to see the negativity on here tonight, but it's not unusual is it?
Should get the 3 points tonight, easy.

Re: Clarts vs Derby
Two teams that are set up to very well to play against each others strengths.
Derby hate it when tricky wingers run at them, I assume that’s why Sarmiento and Anthony have been selected.
They also struggle with physicality in the centre of the pitch. Makes a lot of sense that Laurent and Brownhill are both playing.
On the flip side Derby play very much a counter attacking style of football. So our dominant possession will very much play into there hands.

Re: Clarts vs Derby
There was a young man called Tresor who signed to play at Turf Moor.
He played once or twice and the crowd thought he’s nice ,
But since then we ain’t seen him no more.

Re: Clarts vs Derby
Another midweek game too tricky to make in time, another where I haven’t used my season tickets.
Not really regretting it seeing that lineup. Two attackers out, two midfielders in. Against weaker opponents.
May still win of course, but I don’t get the mentality. It just gives Derby the faint hope of a result.

Would have liked to see hountondji in front of flemming. Luca needed a rest in my opinion.
Come on burnley lets score a few tonight. Saying that Derby will battle for everything

Evening Clarets!
I predict tonight will be a commanding display from the lads and a big win. 3-0 Burnley.

Re: Clarts vs Derby
Quite like the starting 11 today in view of recent injuries. Against a weaker side
Pires back
Koleosho quite rightly benched
Humphreys who is technically a CH starts there
Fleming in, not a natural No 9, but for me Jay and Hountondji are last resorts to lead the line, Its worrying when we have to resort to either starting,
Laurent gets a deserved start

Re: Clarts vs Derby
Tommy McDermott moved to Lancashire for an undisclosed fee from Port Vale at the end of the January 2024 transfer window, penning an 18-month contract that runs until the summer of 2025.
He come through the Valiants' Academy system and was handed his first team debut on the opening day of the 2022/23 campaign.
An attacking midfielder, the 18-year-old notched six goals and 11 assists for the Valiants’ U18s in 2021/22 and had loan spells at Rochdale and Curzon Ashton in 2023/24,
McDermott made an immediate impact on the team, producing an assist on debut against Birmingham City before powerfully picking out the top left corner against Category One side Fulham in the Premier League Cup.
That kick started a run of four goals in four games and the 19-year-old finished the season with nine goals to his name, including a brace against Charlton Athletic at Turf Moor.
McDermott signed a new and improved contract ahead of the 2024/25 season and, after being named on the bench for the Clarets' Championship match at Sunderland, he made his senior debut as a halftime substitute against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup.

Please guys no slagging individual players during the match. We are meant to be Claret supporters. It doesn’t help anybody. Save your negatives for post-game.

Re: Clarts vs Derby
Evening from a chilly Belgrade, obviously hoping for more but I'd take a 1-0 to the Burnley. My uncle, who's probably had a couple too many has taken my prediction as gospel and put the equivalent of around £25 at 5/1 on it. Come on you mighty Clarets.

Evening all from a very cold Derry, like a lot of people I've gone for a 2-0 win on the predictor, should be straightforward hopefully

I don't think they expected Derby to come at us. They will sort it out, hopefully before Derby score.

Roberts stiring the pot again.

Re: Clarts vs Derby
Burnley passing absolutely terrible. From a corner Anthony passes it straight to a Derby player and they counter attack

Re: Clarts vs Derby
There's a lot of room in the midfield when we play round their press.

Re: Clarts vs Derby
I had been really disappointed with Sarmiento until a few games ago, he's really improving atm.
He's our main threat now.
