Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
The two games Parker brought Hannibal backing into the starting 11 we looked miles better. Since dropping him we've gone straight back to how we were before. I've said it before that whilst he's far from our best player, his pressing, bite and energy early on in games really helps us get control and allows other players to shine

Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
A penny for Ashley Barnes' thoughts on that 1st half.....the camera was focussed on him for a minute.
Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
Yep plus one for this, mentioned it last week. There's so many under or over hit passes or ones where it's hit so it's bobbling on.Rick_Muller wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 3:55 pmAbsolutely for me this is a fundamental aspect where we are lacking. So many times I see hesitation when controlling the ball and taking one touch too many when we’re “trying” to up the pace. We just can’t do it, and it’s telling. If we had players with the confidence to control and pass quickly (or at least much quicker let than we do now!) then we do have the makings of a good team. It’s the one aspect that we lack to unlock defences IMO
The whole idea of a passing/possession based game is to force their players to move around by moving the ball quickly, one and two touch passing and the way we do that makes that impossible. Norwich are showcasing how to do it perfectly.

No subs, so Parker is happy with what he has seen then.

We're losing. And he's not putting Flemming on. He's putting Laurent on? Makes absolutely 0 sense - so ******* negative
Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
Sarmiento looks in trouble. Flemming not coming on in the 10. Incredible.

A game we are losing and he replaces our number 10 with Laurent and not Flemming. I give up.

Sarmiento off, sub Laurent.

This plain refusal to play Flemming as a 10 is just beyond weird

My god. I'm a supporter of parker but his unwillingness to play flemming in the 10 is bordering on criminal. Especially 1 down

Laurent on in the number 10, when he have a feckin specific number 10 sat there on the bloody bench. Mind blown.

Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
If Sarmiento had the touch of an average north west counties player he’d have been away, then. But no, first touch is 10 yards and he gets tackled. The lack of ability throughout this squad is staggering.
And it presents the perfect opportunity to bring Fleming on in his preferred role, but, no, we bring on the £500k journeyman.

Laughed when he banged his head on the dug out then

Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
He's saving Flemming to replace J Rod when we are chasing and getting close to 90 minutes.

Why Laurent for Sarmiento when we have Flemming there
Perfect opportunity to play him in the role he’s known for

Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
Perfect opportunity to play Flemming in his position behind Jay 🫣................if Parker is desperate to get Laurent on then take Cullen or Brownhill off they've been tripe!!!!
Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
Too deep from Pires.
Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
Parker is clueless.
Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
Brownhill gone to play further forward now.
The manager has lost me now. Perfect time to try Jay and Flemming but he's so ******* negative he can't bring himself to do even when 1-0 down.

Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
Isn't the aim of football to get into their area, not get into your own?
Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
I guess that's better than wasting a good corner, no?
Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
I laughed the other day when I saw someone suggest we cancel Flemming's loan.
After this sub I'm in agreement. Parker will never play him in his position and he's ******* awful out of position as a number 9. What a waste.
