He would be great for the dressing room , I do however thing we have more leaders in the squad than the last time he was here and it would not be a good enough reason to take up a place
Fair point about squad numbers, but I imagine there’ll be a few out the door who’ve been taking a space for too long (Magic Mike step forward…).

I’d drive Barnes back to Turf Moor myself (and drive a few in the opposite direction, too).

If barnes is available in January, I would much prefer Barnes as an option rather than Tresor and hountonji
I don't think Tresor has ever been an option.

I Wouldn’t say it’s the same because he contributed less and did less things to regard him as a legend

But I absolutely thing he was loyal

He could have gone and played somewhere else and not been happy not about playing and still earnt a good wack

He and Sean and many others have stated that he was an intregral part of the team and squads don’t just contribute for 90 minute a week

Scott Carson at City comes to mind

The most relevant word in your post is "was". At some point we have to let go, managers know when a player's time is up.
Ashley Barnes was great for us, no doubt, but I'd be surprised if the governing factor of his assumed loyalty wasn't the quality of contracts he earned.

And I'll pay your fuel bill
Would love him back

I should reword it to taking up spaces in the 25 man squad

At the end of the game he was talking to Scott Parker for some time, then while the Norwich players went over to applaud their fans Ashley ran straight down the tunnel 😂
