I Wouldn’t say it’s the same because he contributed less and did less things to regard him as a legend

But I absolutely thing he was loyal

He could have gone and played somewhere else and not been happy not about playing and still earnt a good wack

He and Sean and many others have stated that he was an intregral part of the team and squads don’t just contribute for 90 minute a week

The most relevant word in your post is "was". At some point we have to let go, managers know when a player's time is up.
Ashley Barnes was great for us, no doubt, but I'd be surprised if the governing factor of his assumed loyalty wasn't the quality of contracts he earned.
