Sorry for your loss Dave. Condolences to yourself and all your family. My Dad passed away aged 89 on Dec 5th. He was a Claret through and through, hence why I am. I’ve included his details for the Memorium screen v Sunderland. Hope you do the same.

I remember your Granddad Frank, I lived in a flat next to the Crown for around 4yr, he certainly was a character( in a good way)..

One Xmas eve my cooker electric hob packed in. It was late afternoon and I went to Euronics in Barrowford and the chap in there was just about to close but he let me in and took one off the display and sold it to me. He literally saved Christmas. I’m not sure if this was your Dad but condolences to your family.

So sorry Dave. Oz was one in a million and a lovely guy. He let Sam and me play noisy inept punk in the shop on Belgrave street just after we left school, even though it must've upset the neighbours. He was always kind and funny when I stayed round at yours in those days. You won't remember , you were just a baby. All the best to you all, remember the good times.

Sorry for your loss DD i never knowingly met your dad even though i lived in Barrowford & Laneshawbridge and frequented the same watering holes as him probably around the same time that he did,he sounds like he would have been my type of person. RIP OZ

Spoke to my Mum last night, she and my step father knew your Dad quite well from the shop on Belgrave Street and your place in Barrowford. Mum used to work part time for your Grandma Margaret in the paper shop and knew her and Frank well. I think they also bought a washing machine from you in the last couple of years. Just passing on their best wishes and condolences on the loss of your Dad.
