Re: Hannibal
He received a decent standing ovation in the Bob Lord when substituted.

Re: Hannibal
I really think he's a player. Especially when not booked early.
As some one else pointed out he can take the ball on the half turn and break lines.
But the exciting thing is we seem to have found how to fit him in.
Again, as many have pointed out, the Arfield type role. Unconventional wide player who does not allow play to break down every time.
Football is played more in the head / brain that the feet in good teams - no offence to Kol but chalk and cheese. Kol still has a role, but needs to learn alot.
I'm excited for Sheff United away. I think we have more quality, Hamer aside, and will shock the division with an away win if we pick the right team.

Re: Hannibal
Excellent. Forgot that bit. So one min he is on the wing, starting the move with a neat bit of footwork and then he pops up in the thick of it to deliver the nicely weighted one two for Brownhill to score a beauty!
My kind of Burnley players!
Re: Hannibal
He was close yesterday. Thought that shot, when he took his time, was rifling into the corner. Pity it was just the wrong side of the post.Pickles wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 5:42 pmSaid to someone earlier in the season that Hannibal reminds me a bit of Arfield! He was able to add goals to his game (a knack of scoring important ones too) so if Hannibal can replicate that then there's some player at this level. Best performance of the season by a mile.

Re: Hannibal
He's a likeable player. Hope he can find a role and position to play like he did yesterday.
Re: Hannibal
It was great to see the applause and appreciation when he left the field yesterday.
He's a player that will thrive when he's a cult hero to his own fans.

Re: Hannibal
He’s still young, I failed to understand why some seemed to take against him. He’s clearly a high quality player in the making

Re: Hannibal
I genuinely don’t see what it seems like a lot of others see.
He tries flicks when no-one is there, falls over A LOT and play acts all the time when he loses the ball and just lies on the floor even when they have the ball.
Not for me so far. Hope he comes good though.

He’s been showing sings recently but he was the best player on the pitch yesterday
If he can do that consistently then we have a dangerous player

Re: Hannibal
It’s your last point that capped off his performance for meexpoultryboy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 5:34 pmI thought he played excellent today . His quick passing , movement with and without the ball , a sublime dummy , and his usual battling back for the ball .Plus they tried to wind him up today and he didn't bite .
He was content with the wins that he got from the free kicks he gained and didn’t react to the winding up and constant after the ball had gone feet left in
