I thought Hannibal played in the right on Saturday when he played in Browhill.
Hannibal defo played from the left but had drifted in, we had an overload on the right, we have Anthony, Cullen, Roberts and Hannibal

Southampton team in the premier league who have been shocking, maybe they should be playing someone with Taylor’s experience.

Taylor would be the best left back in the championship

For starters Owen Beck at Bastards is better than Taylor is right now

I’d love Charlie Taylor back. Wonder if he’s consider it now that he’s hardly getting a game at Southampton and they’re going down?

Bit of a weird one but I saw a link online to a player called David Mella for 7m but it looks like it was deleted almost immediately.

Wonder if there’s anything in it
Seems a random one, which really is exactly what I’d expect to actually happen this window. It’s much more likely than the two signings reported this morning, which actually sounded quite sensible ones.

I’ve just wasted 8 minutes of my life watching a video of him. Looks a very tricky left footed, right winger. I am sick of wingers that cut inside every time. I just want wingers that can take men on and whip good balls in.

He looks super skillful but I’d question his pace (I know I sound like a broken record questioning everyone’s pace, but can’t help it).

Agreed

I’m keeping an eye out on X to see if it pops up again.

Did have a Quick Look at his stats and there not bad at all for a 19 year old.

His stats are fantastic. But he did turn down Brighton in thr summer apparently, so it would be an odd move to then go to a league below in January.

Honestly no idea but I assume maybe we can give him a reassurance around game time?

Can’t believe I’ve done this off the back of a deleted tweet you’ve seen  but watched 3-4 more videos of this guy this morning. All individual match highlights (there’s loads of him).

He actually looks fantastic. Uses the ball really well. Incredibly skilful and direct. Looks like it would be a very very good signing if there’s anything in it.

Yes, from what I've seen of him and what I've read, he'll be absolutely fine for next season if we stay down but a doubt he'd be good enough if we go up. Regardless, for the price it's a good move with Roberts likely to leave.

That seems like a fair and honest assessment. To be honest, I don’t think we expect to sign premier league ready right backs for £2.5m. The important thing from my perspective is that we have a very good replacement for Roberts if we stay down.

Heard Louie Barrie is swooping one claret and blue top, for another!

Can’t see it myself, but came from a youth team player who seems to think it’s done.

To be recalled by Villa from Stockport after their next game to be loaned out to a championship club which we were one linked. Seems highly rated.

I actually posted on the availability of Louie Barry on 6 December on this thread. Aston Villa terminated the loan of Finn Azaz at Plymouth last January and sold him to Middlesbrough. Be interesting to see where Louie finally ends up and as to whether he follows Azaz to Middlesbrough.

I do think he would be an interesting option but it doesn’t solve our right wing problem

Weirdly he started at CF and then drifted between LW and RW during his early career.

His best form has definitely come from the left, but perhaps the club sees him as a replacement for Koleosho (if he leaves)

Maybe yeah, suppose if Tresor and Redmond are potentially leaving, benson and Ramsey nowhere near fitness suppose any wide player whether they favour left or right is needed.

I would still be going for Whittaker despite him not hitting the heights of last season, I see a proper talent there

If I’m being honest I really don’t think Whittaker is what we need at all.

I’ve watched Plymouth a fair few times this season and realistically he’s playing more as a striker than a right winger. He starts on the right but drifts centrally for the majority of the game.

Plus I don’t think he has the physicality to be a success at the top end of the championship. (Reminds me of Amdouni in that respect but for the prem)

I don't think he's what we need either. Also he's had injury issues this season and only played in 12 out of 21 games.

I think the main pre-requisite of any new player we bring in is their fitness record. Sadly we have too many already injured or on a long term treatment plan.

He is certainly one I’ve mentioned for some and wanted but once a premiership team comes in we’ve no chance, having said that Boro probably wouldn't have sold him to us.

Benrahma certainly has the footwork to create something from nothing which we have lacked so far this season. He’d take the pressure off Koleosho too .

Agreed that Benrahma at this level is a cheat code.

Similar sort of player to someone like Emi Buendia, who I wouldn't be surprised to see us in for :)

Is that you hope we are in for buendia or you an indirect way of giving some info.

You’d imagine if Leeds are in for him they would be in pole position given he played under farke before

I love watching Emi Buendia, I’d be absolutely delighted with that and equally gutted to see him in a DL shirt.

Benrahma would also be an excellent signing but can’t see either happening to be honest.

All I'm saying is that for all the negative stuff that gets said about Pace and Co, they're not sausages. They know what you want to see.

Merry Christmas by the way one and all, all the best to you.

There must be a few rumours flying around on a match day.

Benrhama doesn't look to have scored many in recent years. While I was a big supporter of Charlie Taylor, he's another yesterday's-man; I don't think he'd make a significant difference this season and will only be going downhill by next.
