Hackney foul no yellow again. The ref is absymal
Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
Hannibal brought down centre of their box. About 5 yards out. So 23 yards to goal.

Good save Trafford, but we have GOT to start getting shots off. These lot are here for the taking.

Anthony has largely played well but by God, his final ball and set plays are atrocious at times.

Think this ref has been just fine. Let play go a bit.

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
Fleming hasn’t got in the game, and Anthony’s finishing is frustrating. Why he went up for that free kick, I have no idea. We’re clearly the better side - gutting if we can’t get a win based on our performance.

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
They have accepted we are better. Relying on a breakaway.
..which they just got. Trafford saves but still we are miskicking before finally clearing.

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
Turning into quite a poor performance this. Far to sloppy, no care taken with the ball, refusing to have a shot.

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
I think we could be here another 4 hours and not score tonight
Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
He’s been fooled a few times, but on the whole, as good as this league offers.hoosier-daddy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2024 9:24 pmHe's improved. But he should have booked their player when we were on the break. Obvious yellow.
Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
Ball in from Roberts. Good run Laurent. Diving header. Not quite there.
Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
How do Plymouth score 3 against these and we can’t muster a decent shot on target?

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
Yeah, I think this game has put to bed the argument whether we need a striker, which shouldn’t be the case when we have 4 already for 1 position.

Ffs Antony, roberts made a great run then and you took the ball into 3 of them and lost it..

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
Trying to worry the ball into the net again… then again, on another night, that Brownhill effort goes in. Still, after 70 mins, I’d like us to be a bit more direct and start carrying the ball a bit more and taking shots.

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
They're playing everyone behind the ball like an away team. I very much doubt they set up like that against Plymouth

Did Brownhill come out this half? Was brilliant in the first half but hardly seen him in the second.

Re: Borough v The Mighty Clarets match thread
We were on top and certain players too frightened to create and finish the chance. At least we know we still have the problem going into the January window.
