Was concerned this would be a bad move with him having to compete with Cook. Cook's injury means he should get plenty of opportunities, hope he can stay injury free and if he does he should score plenty of goals at a level he's already shown he's more than capable at.

That’s why they’ve come in for him because of Cook’s injury.

I am sure MDwat and DCwat will be delighted at this news. One of their own going to play for their beloved local team. He's closer to JDRobbo as well, what with him being in Bradford.

A good day all round for our Yorkie glory hunters.

I believe jdrobbo is back in his role as Yorkshire Tourist Board Marketing Manager Dan, so he'll pick this up later when he's back from his beloved Yorkshire Dales.

As you say as a proud Bradfordian he will be delighted with this news.

He’s 21 now and I can’t see him ever making our first team. Good luck to him with a career at lower levels.

It’s a big ask replacing Cook, completely different style of forward but if he can bag a few it puts him in the shop window. Good luck to the lad.

I believe he was at Valley Parade watching Cook play for Bradford a couple of weeks back.

No idea if he'll make it, it is indeed a huge step up. But Jamie Vardy was playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels at 21. Charlie Austin had just moved from Poole Town to Swindon.

Wayne Rooney distorted what everyone thinks a young player should be capable of in senior football.

He was but they moved with the Cook injury. There were other options.

So why the bloody hell has he chosen that one :D

In all seriousness, of course I hope he does well, just missing out on promotion would be perfect.

Usual alarm bells ringing with our glory hunting contingent... mustn't be too many to talk to on the City Gent page.
