Re: Parker pre-match v Reading
Obviously your referring to Tresor who Pace clearly said he didn't want to play for the club recently, why keep asking the manager in every press conference to get the same answer?
I'd rather we discussed important matters and give time to ask important questions and not give Tresor any spotlight so he can bugger off or rot on the sidelines.

I don't want to reopen the whole Tresor saga again, but when did Pace say that?bumba wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 9:03 amObviously your referring to Tresor who Pace clearly said he didn't want to play for the club recently, why keep asking the manager in every press conference to get the same answer?

It certainly wasn't at the recent fans forum.

Re: Parker pre-match v Reading
Do you not consider the whole Tresor situation as being important? An expensive piece of business, certainly by our standards who doesn't show up on match day but nevertheless collects good renumeration on a regular basis. I'm not privy to the internal machinations of our football club but I suspect that 'Mike' may have become a millionaire during his time with us. I'm just thinking there are some things that cannot keep being swept under the carpet. Perhaps the mood might be different if we found ourselves in a lower league position.

The link doesn't seem to work for me, but this does:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa1tgDzKwq8
He's asked about CJ's contract running out in the summer and comes across as relatively confident we can get a new deal sorted with him.

What more are you wanting them to say on the subject?Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 2:57 pmDo you not consider the whole Tresor situation as being important? Pace has addressed it, Parker has addressed it. I certainly don’t want a single second of our press conferences to be discussing him now the picture is clear.
I’d like it resolved but if there’s no takers he should be training on his own for the rest of the season.

'now the picture is clear'
Is that injury, illness, downright refusal to play, wanting a move? Which bit is 'clear'?

I totally agree with the sentiment here.... but
If the truth devalues him we may choose to be economical with it.

Whether it's important or not isn't the issue anymore, Pace cleared it up during the fans forum thing he did so why keep repeating it?Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 2:57 pmDo you not consider the whole Tresor situation as being important? He doesn't want to play for the club so the club and Tresor are probably trying to figure out a move for him this window.
What do people expect Parker to say that Pace hasn't?
A weekly update on Tresors pay packet? How many fines he's had?

Yep, but now most are insisting on a minimum 2 days back in the business. Maybe a Tuesday and a Saturday would be a good start, with reasonable adjustments of course to help the poor chap……

I have a few adjustments in mind, though I'm not sure they'd qualify as reasonable.Jimmymaccer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 10:49 pmYep, but now most are insisting on a minimum 2 days back in the business. Exactly fit and available but obviously from what he said he's refusing to play.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 10:53 pmPace said he was fit and available to play. The interview is still available to watch if you don't believe me.
Everybody got the jist of what Pace said, why not you?

Re: Parker pre-match v Reading
It hardly needs Alan Turing to read between the lines.
The only possible alternative, that I can think of, to him refusing to play is Parker refusing to play him. Either because he deems him not to be good enough (he should be more than fine at this level) or because he doesn’t think his attitude is right (akin to refusing to play).

Re: Parker pre-match v Reading
As Fidel has stated it isn’t what was said, it can be interpreted that way and that is probably the most likely reason but there are a whole multitude of reason why a player/ person could be fit but not available for selection. It has been reported by a number of people including CT that something bad happened to him over the Summer and beyond it could be related to that. Either way I don’t like stating something as fact that is only a jist of what someone else said until there is proof.

At this stage we still don't know if he's now agreeing to play or whether it's a gentlemen's agreement to have him on the bench to 'prove his fitness' for a potential move.
I'd love nothing more than him to play for BFC and be a huge hit but it's been clearly branded about that he's refused to play.
