Foster could easily play left wing in the league with Flemming in the false 9 and brownhill in the 10

The scene is set now in the second half to get Magic Mike on to either create the winning goal.or score it himself!!!

Didn't know what to expect reading the team sheet. But that was a good half, with a scratch team against a side used to winning.
Could easily. be at 2 ahead.
Well played, Burnley.

Good viewing, dominant but no goal yet. Enjoying seeing McDermott, Bauress and Sonne and I have to say I far prefer Lyle in this wide left role.

Decent half that.

Should be ahead. Probably controlled 30 of the 45 mins.

Not bad for a team comprised of 11 changes.

Jay Rod could be an interesting option as a deeper midfielder. His awareness, touch and passing range is top class still.

Really enjoyable half

Thought Worrall looked strong,
McDermott seems to have something about him wouldn’t be against him getting out there and getting some minutes perhaps putting himself in the window for reading

Foster on the left is looking really sharp

Took me half-an-hour to work out who was playing where. A team that will never play again so it's a question of looking at individuals.

Bauress and McDermott look real players. Technically very good and confident. McDermott did very well prior to seeing his shot deflected.

Sonne looks comfortable.

Foster looks sharp.

Joe Worrall playing well.

Enjoyed thay, just needed the 2 goals we deserved.
Sonne looks good
Bauress very comfortable on the ball and taking up good positions to receive the ball off the defence
Foster looking fit and dangerous
Luca looking lively

Also Worrall Pires and McDermott looking decent enough.

Lost my stream, and immediately we pick up.

Lesson, don't watch a stream.

Sounds positive so far, but we don't want the same issues as the first XI, nice football, no end product.

Come on Burnley

Some good performances, the new lads have done really well. Pleased for them this side looks like it would hold its own the championship to be fair… McDermott and bauress will have a good football career based on todays evidence. Soone looks good and a very good range of passes . Hdlaky has good range of passes so if we lose Trafford no worries their i feel.

Played some nice football in that first and could easily be 3 goals up. Why can’t we put these chances away? Foster having a very good game, as is young McDermott, Koleosho, with Sonne and Bauress showing promise. We need an early goal in the second half and then put this game to bed. Well done to the Clarets fans who made the trip and are giving plenty of support.

Bit of a curates egg of a first half. I liked the direct attacking style sadly missing for much of this season and really should have scored. Tailed off after 20 minutes then finished pretty strongly. I enjoyed that to a degree. Bashley not done much and same can be said of Jay but Lyle looking more lively.

Looked to be heading for a easy win in the first 15 mins but we went missing for the next 20-we shoukd win this be very disappointing if we don’t.

As has been said already, McDermott and Bauress need to go on loan and play, they will benefit far more than playing U23 football

Today is the perfect shop window for them to get a move in January.

The 2 young lads in the middle looks very competent.

Some looks like a real player. Made some excellent passes, positioning looks great.

Foster is looking ok, but he's up against a lad from a league 1 team who is only on his 3rd start for the club. Hard to judge, but I think he looks better than he has done.

Pires positioning is awful. He's a good 10 yards too high every time the ball is turned, and they know it. They just pass it in behind him every time - they've clearly identified he's the weak spot at the back.

Worral and Egan? How good is it that these two are the back ups? And there's still others in Bayer and Ekdal to come back. Great depth with two solid options.

Who has criticised any of the young lads before they have kicked a ball, a rant there about nothing.

The first 20 minutes has shown both McDermott and bauress need to go to league 1 or league 2 and play week in week out

Woeful outlook suggesting 2 youth players would benefit from playing in either league 1 or 2, what a strange way to turn that into a negative.

It’s the perfect progression for youth players

Sounds like Foster and Tommy the bright sparks that half. Foster could yet be the answer to us scoring more goals. I’d rather he played there rather than Hannibal. Luca a different type for different opponents.

The fact that Jay is playing deep leaves us with the regular problem that Barnes is totally on his own with little support

Potentially I think it’s similar issues as we are seeing in the league. Doing the hard work but final ball failing him every time.
