Because he's elderly.
Yes I am
And I've just changed four accounts from assign, to manage, and renewed 5 tickets, all paid up front without incident, all done on the app on my tablet following the instructions posted on here.

I find it rather insulting that every time you mention you're having difficulty you bring the elderly into it.
A lot of elderly people manage quite well with technology.
I managed ok on the site, but many struggle, but they are not all elderly.
Log into your account, buy tickets, click on the person icon and you should get a page up to renew your ticket
I am elderly. I have done what you said. I am no nearer to buying my season ticket. I am sincerely sorry that an almost 80 year old is insulting you by not being able to master new technology. As soon as the snow goes, I will venture to the ticket office and buy my ticket in person. Are you happy with that or insulted.

Either Row X is being a bit of an obnoxious tit on this thread or he’s Burnley FC’s Ticketing Manager…..or possibly both.

If you actually read the posts, instead of jumping in and being abusive, you'd see that I agree people, of all ages, are having problems, either with the system, or the instructions, and it's not just the elderly which is what I took exception to, many elderly people have managed quite well, and many younger people have struggled.
All goalkeeper needed to say was that he was having problems, no need to mention age as it's immaterial in this case.

Fair enough. But there are references to age and it skills in the posts.

Funny that because on either this thread or one of the other season ticket threads a number of days ago when other people were having issues with renewing you told them it was easy and all they had to to was follow the instructions on the site (I’m paraphrasing).

I’m not old and have worked with computers all my life and I can categorically say that the our website is atrocious - as is our ticketing system.

So if people are having genuine issues and you are not then I’d suggest stop being a complete arse about it and don’t try and defend the club for repeatedly getting this wrong.

Again, completely misreading

I've never said the site is perfect, I've admitted that people are having problems, the point is it's not just the elderly, it's all ages
I've said I needed advice off this site before I could renew my tickets because it wasn't clear on the website, so I will say when it's not good
My point, which I will I will explain to you again, is I didn't like the insinuation that it was only the elderly that was having problems, being in that age group myself
The website is obviously not perfect, some of it will be down to user error, some will be down to technical issues.

And my point is that forget any reference to the elderly you were pointing out to people who were struggling and describing the issues they were having that all they needed to do was follow the instructions a number of days ago.

If I could be bothered I’d dig out the post to embarrass you - but I can’t.

If you already have them on DD, then they should both be renewed automatically.

I didn’t receive an email that mine and my son’s tickets would renew and when I went on the ticketing website to check if auto renew was enabled there was an odd message suggesting that I didn’t have any eligible season tickets. I was pretty sure they would automatically renew as before but to be on the safe side I sent the club an email to their ticketing address and in fairness got a response within 24 hours confirming they would renew.

The website and in particular the separate ticketing website are shambolic though. Its unbelievably poor how shoddy this is for this day and age.

Got my email the other day and doesn't seem to be a price shown for James Hargreaves lower, although I assume it's same price re prices frozen.

£504 an adult on lower now. Used to be dearer in middle of stand but it’s all same price now
