I won’t be able to attend as I’m away that weekend for friends birthday so I’m hoping for a “nothing” draw

Exeter City at home
Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
No such game in the FA Cup. Lincoln at home ring any bells?
City away, get pumped 4-0, focus on winning the league.
The only benefit of a PL tie could be the potential for us to see how SP would set up against a PL side, and see just how far off we would be next season, should we go up.

I think we would still only get 4700 as that is the amount they have to give us and they would claim that on police advice they may only give us 4000.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 6:29 pmif we get Rovers away will they HAVE to give us the entire end because of the rules ? Doncaster away wasn't often a happy trip.
1991 being a big exception, really enjoyed that.

I saw us win at the old ground four times I think and twice at the new ground. The one you refer to was the 4-1 I assume but we went back later in the season and beat them in the FA Cup after a draw on the Turf.dougcollins wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 5:10 pmDoncaster away wasn't often a happy trip.

Aye, Billy Whitehurst sent off for a 2nd Yellow, and a really clever goal from Mark Yates, I recall ?dougcollins wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 5:10 pmDoncaster away wasn't often a happy trip. 1991 being a big exception, really enjoyed that.

I was at that game. It hit one of the corners of Big Johns forehead.Venkys4eva wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 11:02 pmI remember leading there 1-0 and john pender hit a home goal and it ended 1-1. Im fairy certain it was exeter and around newyear time. The healine in the telegraph was 'captain clanger' .. was a long journey back.
We were in a pub pre match. Came out to head to the ground and had a police escort, including horses, that outnumbered us.

********
It's a good match up, but all the way to the Southcoast.
They'll probably make it 8.00 Thursday night with our luck.

Horrid draw. Not on TV. Likely to get stuffed. Away again. Long trip. Home match postponed.

I despair of ever seeing an F. A. Cup tie at Turf Moor again.
Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
Southampton are the only PL team at home to a lower league team. 4 other PL teams are at home to PL teams, and 8 are away to lower league teams.

Dreadful draw
Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
A boring draw, but certainly winnable.
Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
Oh dear. Was really hoping for a decent home tie to make up for losing Oxford, a very rare 3pm Saturday game.

Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
By rights we should be looking at having a real go at a club stone bottom of the prem and perhaps barely a place above us come Feb. That said I think they’d make mincemeat of yesterdays XI and you get the feeling this game will be low priority.
