Re: General Info - Plymouth (a)
The Britannia – a Wetherspoons outlet around 10 minutes from the ground by foot – does welcome travelling supporters, as does the Cherry Tree pub on Ham Drive. Hyde Park Social Club, which is also 10 to 15 minutes from the stadium (but in the opposite direction - PL3 4JQ) also welcomes away fans

Plymouth travel
If mods wish to move please do to any topic you think acceptable.
This is for persons travelling down on Wednesday. Outside the ground is two large car parks. These are free but fill up very quickly. There is off street parking around the ground but would advise not to park anywhere one shouldn't as wasps will be out to sting ya with their tickets. You can normally get parking opposite side of beacon park road and walk down via fircroft road. Ten minutes walk. Opposite the car parks there is an esso garage for fuel and costas.
Any questions shout out and will reply

I'll be aiming for a spot in the big car park outside but have booked a £3 spot at Morrissons up the road just in case.

Re: Plymouth travel
Train on walking to the ground you will go down the hill to a roundabout. At it go right and cross over. It's about three short roads but goes straight into the park. Walk up and carry on straight gets to the ground. On leaving instead of walking around the ground there is a pathway get on that pathway and again go right. You will be in the park except a bit to the right of the main pathway that you took getting to the ground.
Not sure if its still open but there used to be a back way into the station where the post office took mail up to the station. As you go down the steps go right to the end. At the end there is a lane that takes you down to the roundabout. I would check if its still open when u arrive could save you five minutes getting to station. Oh police in old days escorted away fans using that lane.

Can I add that from the roundabout a walk straight up the hill, Alma Road (to the right of the park) takes you straight to the visitor friendly Brittania Inn (JD Wetherspoons)Ibahjanner wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:45 pmTrain on walking to the ground you will go down the hill to a roundabout. Will be in the City Centre around 1500, any tips on the top boozers from our Plymouth based Clarets. No colours and I can stretch to a passable Devonian accent.

You'll need a Plymouth accent, different to Devon

Yes the brittania and the cherry tree are probably the two nearest pubs. Also thr club have a fans area that both sets of supporters are welcome. It's okay if weather is fine with live music and a variety of food vans etc to purchase from. If raining no as it's open aired

Yeah, can’t say I’ll get that subtlety, but my Dad was from Chagford so it’s close enough. Mum from Burnley.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 7:04 pmOh arr??
