I've flicked across to the Chicksn farm.
May as well watch a game that's fun to watch.

Well this has all gone downhill.
Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
True. At least three decisions that could have gone either way, one of them a "two-for-one" penalty and red card, and all three went Sheffield's way.Conroysleftfoot wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:11 pmSheff Utd have the luck of a team destined to go up.

Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
Red card and a pen against Swansea making it easy for Blades. That’s 2 pens in 2 games. Blades had no shots on target in first half and only 37% possession

Relying on luck tends to mean it runs out eventually. Yet another goal conceded for the Blades tonight.
They have a shocking run in February.

I can't be doing with Michael Dawson. He's way too intense and void of any personality. Roy Keane can be intense, too, but at least he's immensely watchable and has a sense of humour.

Amdouni comes on for a Benfica side 4-3 up on Barca.
10 mins to play + added.

Watched bits of 3 European matches tonight and noticed they don’t give a jot about kicking the ball away after a FK awarded. It was driving Villa players mad.

Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
It’s certainly not a must win, it’s the 28gh game in a 48 game season and at worst we’ll be 5 points off second, 6 off top. A few weeks ago people were getting giddy about Sheffield United’s form over Christmas. There is a long long long way to go, tomorrow is not a must win, albeit that would be lovely of course!
Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
You are right, Stonehouse. We might be in a minority, but It was kind of sad seeing them like that tonight. Their owners have reduced them to an utter mess. No signings coming in. No backing for the manager and they picked up three or four more injuries too tonight. They can forget the top 6.
Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
I would normally agree with this, but in the context of this season, and the amount of 0-0’s we’ve had, it’s time we started showing some improvement. If we want to get automatic, then there’s really no excuse not to be beating a team rock bottom and 5 points adrift of safety.Cheshireclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:51 pmIt’s certainly not a must win, it’s the 28gh game in a 48 game season and at worst we’ll be 5 points off second, 6 off top. Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
Absolutely outrageous finish to Ben v Barca.
Benfica have nailed on pen turned down whilst ball still in play Barca boot ball length of field and Raphina gets onto it to score.5-4 Barca.
VAR has a check and says no pen.
European football is more corrupt than PL.

Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
Huge pressure on us tomorrow. From what I've seen Sunderland have stepped up a level now. If I had to bet my house on the top 2 I'd say it will be Sunderland and Leeds.
Not convinced by Sheff Utd at all.

Just seen the penalty claim back. It is absolutely staggering how VAR has not told the referee to go and look. It's as clear a push as you are likely to see.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 10:00 pmAbsolutely outrageous finish to Ben v Barca.

Their owners have reduced them back to what they were before Walker came in and cheated for trophies, an utter mess.

As it was back in the day, they can forget the top 6.

Re: TONIGHTS (TUE) FOOTY
Watched the last 20 mins of our NEIGHbours and they were dire. 1-0-7 in their last 8, injuries with more tonight, crowd tumbling, relying on loans, owners can’t or won’t put money in. They are in big trouble. Next season could be interesting

Leeds have some hard fixtures. Burnley, Sheff Utd and Middlesbrough away and Sunderland at home.
Sunderland have Middlesbrough, Leeds and West Brom away. West Brom are slipping but they aren't easy to beat at home.
Sheff Utd have Middlesbrough and Leeds at home and Burnley and Sheff Wed away (hopefully a derby draw or a Sheff Wed win).
Burnley have Leeds and Sheff Utd at home.
Some points are going to be dropped between the top four.
