Goal difference is so important…

Another 3 or 4 and we could go top on Monday after beating Leeds (assuming SU don’t win Friday night)

There were some real positives that half.

Flemmings finishing has been truly excellent. If we give him service he will score the goals that get us promoted.

Laurent being more advanced has been a revelation. He’s totally destroyed Plymouth tonight. His best game in a claret shirt

Sadly we will now declare and make a few subs.

But fantastic drive and intensity tonight. Everyone needs a pat on the back. Apart from this Plymouth lot, obvs.

Here’s a tip though Scotty - tell your players to pile forward at 0-0 not when we are just two ahead or one behind,

I think we'd have to go back a heck of a long way to come up with a time when we've hit 5 in one half of a League match. 50s, 60s ? If ever .

Not taking anything away from us, but it’s really **** poor management. He’s obviously come in and wants to play his way from the off. You’d be watching games back when we’ve struggled and pack the defence and make it difficult for us.
Yeah. Even at 1-0 the sensible thing would have been to park the just and take the game deep. Unbelievably naïve.

But GD wouldn't matter if we'd scored in some of those nil-nils.

Make the most of tonight. We've had our arse whooped ourselves many times. Usually by Citeh

I say 7 - 0 and call it a day
I think we should carry on,as many as possible. Goal difference is a effectively a point at the end of the day.

Despite their lowly position, Phil Bird has just said they've only been beat 3 times at home this season and never by more than a goal.

Essential to keep attacking here. Let's get somewhere near yo Leeds's goal difference before Saturday and then win to go above them. Also, in a bit yo get Kolo on snd get him some confidence.

Watching that half makes you think Rooney didn't do half bad if that's the standard of the Plymouth players.
Exactly what I was thinking yeah.

Supposedly Rooney hadn't lost a home game by more than 1 goal this season.

Don’t like to say, but when you get so many goals first half the second half is often
a damp squib.

We did, and then in the next game a few days later at Brentford we scored three in the first half, making it 8-0 in ninety minutes football, away from home.
