Goal difference is so important…
Another 3 or 4 and we could go top on Monday after beating Leeds (assuming SU don’t win Friday night)

Re: Match thread. Plymouth Argyle
There were some real positives that half.
Flemmings finishing has been truly excellent. If we give him service he will score the goals that get us promoted.
Laurent being more advanced has been a revelation. He’s totally destroyed Plymouth tonight. His best game in a claret shirt

Sadly we will now declare and make a few subs.
But fantastic drive and intensity tonight. Everyone needs a pat on the back. Apart from this Plymouth lot, obvs.
Here’s a tip though Scotty - tell your players to pile forward at 0-0 not when we are just two ahead or one behind,

I think we'd have to go back a heck of a long way to come up with a time when we've hit 5 in one half of a League match. 50s, 60s ? If ever .

Yeah. Even at 1-0 the sensible thing would have been to park the just and take the game deep. Unbelievably naïve.

I think we should carry on,as many as possible. Goal difference is a effectively a point at the end of the day.RalphCoatesComb wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 8:55 pmMake the most of tonight. We've had our arse whooped ourselves many times. Usually by Citeh![]()

Despite their lowly position, Phil Bird has just said they've only been beat 3 times at home this season and never by more than a goal.

Would be 7 with the 2 clear pens not given and Flemming was clearly onside when given off. Hope we don’t back off and keep going. Great for gd

Re: Match thread. Plymouth Argyle
Essential to keep attacking here. Let's get somewhere near yo Leeds's goal difference before Saturday and then win to go above them. Also, in a bit yo get Kolo on snd get him some confidence.

Didn't we score 5 in 2nd half away to MK Franchise in 2016?

We did, and then in the next game a few days later at Brentford we scored three in the first half, making it 8-0 in ninety minutes football, away from home.claretburns wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:05 pmDidn't we score 5 in 2nd half away to MK Franchise in 2016?
