I will be going
A - Bills
B - Steelers
C - Eagles, although I won't be too shocked if the Packers win this, really excited for this match (which now I have said it, means it will be totally rubbish :D)

Saw that Love was injured late on last week as well as another important player and might be doubts.
Hurts and a few others were rested for the Eagle so, after the season they've had as well, I'm expecting them to be on top form.

I had missed that. Shame as it would have been good to see those two with fully fit rosters going at it!

Just watched the highlights from Commanders @ Bucs, what an incredible finish to a game, but I am gutted with the score.

Yeah, shame for your team. But very happy to see Daniels carrying on his excellent year. What a start to his career.

Very true, I think they have deserved it based on their overall performances this season compared to the Bucs. Just another rock and roll season with Baker at QB, the highest highs and the lowest lows :D

Wild-Card Round Results.

Hello all and thanks for playing along with the opening week of this game. Really enjoyed the wild card round. The Texans put out a strong statement win over the Chargers, but now face a real test next GW. Massively surprised with the scoreline in the Vikings match though, I thought that would be a much closer game.

Confirming the correct answers and scores below:

A - Most points scored - Texans (32)
B - Most field goals - 4 teams with 3 each! Commanders, Bills, Eagles and Texans
C - Winner of Packers @ Eagles - Eagles win.

Table

Points - Player

2 - Claretonthecoast1882
1 - Tricky Trevor
1 - Dvalley69
1 - P-L-C
1 - Cowick Claret
1 - Belial
1 - TimShorts

More questions for the upcoming GW to follow shortly.

Divisional round.

Hi all and onto the next GW, the Divisional round and there are no bad teams left standing. This week's questions are:

A - Which conference will have the most points scored this week, the AFC or the NFC? (This is the combined scores of both the winners and losers from each conference. Conferences stated below for clarity)
B - Which team will have the most passing yards?
C - Who wins between Ravens @ Bills?

This week's games are (based on UK time):

Texans @ Chiefs (Saturday PM) (AFC Teams)
Commanders @ Lions (Sunday AM) (NFC Teams)
Rams @ Eagles (Sunday PM) (NFC Teams)
Ravens @ Bills (Sunday PM) (AFC Teams)

Please post your selections below.

Conference Championship

Hi all and we are nearing the end of this full season, but some cracking games still to go before it is all over.

This week's questions are (and I am really squeezing 4 questions in):

A - Which team will have the largest winning margin?
B - Which team’s defence will execute the most sacks?
C - Who wins in both games (a point available for each correct answer)

This week's games are (UK times):

Commanders @ Eagles (Sunday 8pm)
Bills @ Chiefs (Sunday 11:30pm)

Please post your selections below.

Conference Championship Results.

Hi all, if you don't want any spoilers then look away.

Superb final round of games before we get to the big one. I think my picks for the Commanders came from the heart and not the head, but hopefully they won't be too disheartened by falling at this hurdle. They have done really well to get this far and have some good foundations to build on for next season. I'm not an Eagles fan, but fair play to them, they have got the Superbowl in style and have every chance now.

As for the Chiefs, they just do their thing and there isn't much else to say, but congratulations. Again, I wanted the Bills to get it over the line, but they just can't seem to manage it. I haven't watched the game yet, but I hope to catch it tomorrow evening (as we have the matter of dealing with Leeds this evening!)

Correct answers:

A - biggest winning margin - Eagles by a lot!
B - most sacks executed - Eagles managed 3 (1 more than everyone else)
C - winners - Eagles and Chiefs

Table

Points - Players
8 - Claretonthecoast1882
7 - Cowick Claret
6 - Belial
6 - Dvalley69
4 - P-L-C
1 - Tricky Trevor
1 - TimShorts
0 - MrTopTier

Superbowl LIX.

Hi everyone and it is the final round of picks for this season. Just a last thank you for playing along, it has been a little bit of extra fun on the side for me when watching the games and trying to think of picks for the weekend ahead.

Again, if we have tie between two or more of you, I will ask the impartial Mrs P-L-C to randomly select one of you to nominate our charity for this round of games.

Our final questions are:

A - Which team's offence will have the most passing yards?
B - Which team's defence will successfully make the most interceptions?
C - Who lifts the trophy?
D - Bonus question - Can you tell me how many points the winning margin will be? (If none of us are correct, I'll give a point to whoever is closest)

The game in question is (if you don't already know!)

Chiefs v Eagles (11:30pm KO, 9th Feb, in New Orleans).

Good luck and post your picks below.

Second all that, sadly. Barclay and 3 turnovers were the difference basically (scoring 3 TDs from those turnovers), so not the end we wanted for the Commanders but probably run out of steam against an unbelievable defence. The SB is gonna be one tight game I except.
Thanks once again for the commitment in running this, PLC.

Expect there will be a lively atmosphere in the streets around here if the Eagles win. Seems like everyone has been wearing Eagles gear for the last two weeks, and we even had an Eagles-themed birthday party for my grandson yesterday.

Superbowl results

Hi all and what a great end to the season that was. Just caught up with the extended highlights this morning and planning to watch the full game later, but it looked like a complete performances from the Eagles. I think most of it has been said on the other Superbowl thread, so I'll just post the answers and results below.

Answers:
A - most passing yards - chiefs 257 v eagles 221

As there is a tie, congratulations to both Cowick and Claretonthecoast as our joint winners! I have asked the impartial Mrs P-L-C to select one of you at random to nominate a charity and she has picked ClaretontheCoast1882. So if you could post a charity below, I'll send them £20 over asap and I am sure whoever you select will also welcome any donations from others

Just a final thank you from me for playing along. It has been a fun thing to do on the side to get me watching more than just the Bucs games all season.

All the best and I'll see you all in September :D
