Millwall Home Fixture.

Post by John Johnson 1605 » Tue Jan 28, 2025 12:50 pm

Millwall at home on the 3rd May is our last game of the season.

Is there any chance it could be moved ? (have I imagined that all championship games kick off on the Sunday at 2pm?).

Just trying to work out travel/accommodation plans.

Help gratefully received.

All final fixtures kick off at the same time, to give no unfair advantages etc.

So unless they change the fixture time for all of them, I can't see it being moved.

All championship last games usually kick off at 12:30 on the Saturday.

Last games in the prem are all on a Sunday. They used to be in the championship too but it has been Saturday at 12:30 for a number of years now. I don’t know if they have official said when the last games will kick off though.

The official fixtures still say Saturday 03 May at 15:00 - almost like they haven't decided what to do with them yet.

I've always found it strange that its only the last game of the season is when all teams play at the same time.

The last few games leading up to this, teams can have a huge advantage by either playing before their rivals and putting pressure on them,or afterwards knowing what they need to do for both promotion or relegation dogfights..

Personally I'di like to see the last 4 games all kick off at the same time but I know TV schedules dictate and this would never happen..

All three divisions are currently scheduled for 3 pm on the final Saturday. That won't be the case so it's a matter of waiting for the league to determine which divisions are played when.

Pretty sure when we got the trophy last time it was Bank holiday Monday. Might have been to avoid Charles coronation on the Saturday though.

Rovers go to Sheff Utd last game. Imagine if they have to beat them to get in the play offs but that means we win promotion.

They are that weird they would sacrifice a chance of promotion if if meant we stayed down
