Just like he has with Tresor.
Miaow

I'll give Parker his due, some of the lads that remained are in the pool of players that wanted off. Then he has a load of lads that had shot confidence after getting dry humped for a season, got them motivated and playing for each other and the shirt again.

He gets a pass on Tresor for me on that basis.

Isnt he contracted to Sporting till June 26 ?
Yes I believe so, but he's given an interview a few months ago whereby he said he's had 6 years in Portugal and he wants a fresh challenge. That seemingly hasn't gone well.

When it comes to selling the club captain and ever present in the team, Swansea beat us to it. Selling Matt Grimes yesterday to Coventry.
Hopefully, a number of key additions will be flowing down the pipeline.

If the summation of this transfer window is:

Jay out > Barnes in
Brownhill out > Shelvey in

I will be very disappointed.

Have you read any of the other posts from today? Sounds like we’re about to make an incredibly ambitious and positive move which you’ve completely ignored to fit a negative agenda.

Can’t believe how many people need to give their heads a wobble at the moment!

Of course I've read them, and nothing announced today regarding Edwards has been confirmed yet unless I've completely ignored that as well. It was a generalisation. I hope there is more activity, there's no agenda. Relax.

Likewise nothing been announced about Brownhill either, although it looks a fair bet.

Maybe a bit rash to jump on your comments but I am feeling exasperated about some of the reactivity we’re currently seeing across the fanbase and it feels like a lot of it is agenda driven at either Parker or Pace and co.

Yeah I appreciate that, don't worry. The big word in my post was "If" - I'm still trying to be optimistic, but it's not easy.

The only agenda many of us are driven for is not wanting to be in the bottom 6 of the league for chances created and not being the worst team in any of the 4 leagues for draws at home...

I am absolutely sick of this team setting up not to lose rather than setting out to win!... Prime Messi would struggle with our type of football and intent and Southgate would be proud!

Boro leading the race for Kelechi Iheanacho according to some journo on X.

That is a signing I could get behind.

I am never right, so even I’m not believing myself or the lad who gave me Spurs weeks back and United tonight.

Real Madrid have bid for Martinez < United interested in Esteve.

That’s Spurs and United. I think neither will happen, but Spurs seem more likely!

nothing to be disappointed about
Jay for Barnes is pretty much a like for like in that neither are going to be starters both love the club and know what its about both have vast experience they can pass on, if anything Barnes would be slightly better for his shithousing ability.
Brownhill for Shelvey again not much in it and as much as I love Brownhill if we get the good version of Shelvey it could possibly be a slight upgrade imo.

Not a rumour but there's plenty of talent in the Championship that could be attainable and improve us.

Alfie Doughty is back and scored today, he'd be a great addition.
Ellis Simms and Victor Torp from Coventry.
Adebajo or Morris from Luton.

We really need to be proactive whilst we are in an attractive position. It might be more difficult in the Summer if we don't go up.

Go on their forum and have a read about what they think about Ellis Simms. Itd make people's opinions about Mike Tresor look like a treasured childhood memory. I'd have Sheaf though in a heartbeat.

Apparently been much better since Lampard went in there. He has every attribute to be excellent at this level. He'd go straight into our starting 11 at the moment that's for sure.

That sort of player sums up the difficulty of signing players in January.

He may well be OK for the remainder of the season, if he was available at a reasonable price, but he’d likely be way short of requirement if we were promoted.

We’d then be left with a player on wages increased for promotion, on a lengthy contract, that is no good for the level we are at.

Loans with obligations and the like, will be the appealing options, I’d have thought, and that really narrows your market.

Go and get Adebayo from Luton, stick his arse upfront and just swing balls into him with Flemming arriving from deeper.
