How? He hasn't played that position for us
Based on his spell at Millwall, in the prem last season when we needed someone with abit of fight, Energy and not scared to but his body about. No doubting Amdouni’s talent but he wasn’t the right fit for our team

His actual resale will probably still be in the £12-15 million ballpark.

That being said they definitely got their moneys worth as part of the squad that won the title.
Yeah, clubs like Leverkusen don’t need to worry too much about signing £20m players and not selling them on at all or taking a loss on them. Obviously we do though which is why he went there and not to us.

Not that I think for a second he was coming back but it does make me wonder if there’ve been talks in which they’ve promised him more game time, only for him to pick up an injury. Odd how things work out.

Nothing new,

Just know he was linked a few days ago and was completely left out of southamptons squad yesterday.

So putting two and two together
I hope you’re making 5. Manning would be decent at this level but is definitely not premier league standard. Would much rather we stuck with Humphreys.

Having 3 LB's and no cover for Flemming and Foster (other than Barnes), makes little sense, particularly when our greatest need is to convert chances

Romano now saying that PSV have reached an agreement with Loum Tchaouna over personal terms....loan plus obligation to buy from Lazio for €13m plus add-ons.

Really nice poster yourself aren’t you, very good at insulting people, it was you that tried to call me racist at the beginning of last week when multiple other posters said it would be easy for fans to get banel and tella mixed up.

Yeah but that doesn't mean there's a complication which is what someone, I forget who, was wondering about. It's progressing to a satisfactory conclusion, you'll see.

I don't know about the other guy for whoever else asked sorry.

Another link to a winger
Lazio paid £8 million for him in the Summer. Can't see them letting him go at a loss, and that's a big chunk of change for someone who hasn't had the greatest season. We don't have any loan spots left really. Seems unlikely.

I see more of a premier league player in the second striker role in Flemming than I did in Amdouni, especially for what we need as a club
I'd rather have Amdouni in his preferred position and system than Flemming in his preferred system and position

Under new rules, sides are only permitted to temporarily move on six players to sides outside of England. Burnley have already reached that number with Ekdal, Darko Churlinov, Massengo, Oluwaseun Adewumi, Hountondji and Zeki Amdouni.

So while Parker recently admitted that Shurandy Sambo and Mike Tresor, two players that have barely featured this season, could possibly move on in a bid to get more game time, only a permanent exit or a loan deal to a domestic side can be considered.

Think this is interesting that Tresor and sambo can’t leave on loan abroad, they can only leave perm

Adewumni is 19 so he doesn't count so one less

Didn't Benfica decide they were keeping Amdouni for the agreed fee to make that permanent. So possibly another there

For the 2024–2025 season, EFL clubs can loan out a maximum of six players
Players under 21 and club-trained players can be loaned out outside of this limit'

James Ward/Prowse has just had his loan with Forest cancelled. He’d be a great signing at Champ level!

Maybe he’ll end up back at Southampton though.

The ever increasing gap between Championship and PL will have a big influence on where players the likes of Manning, Brereton Diaz, Prowse, ,Iheanacho, Danny Ings and numerous more can move to. I suspect a number will be happy to stay put and draw a wage

Egan linked with Hull City in their local rag.

Feels like great news because that must suggest Esteve is not for sale whatever happens.

Egan going would actually, rather incredibly, leave us a bit short at cb. With Ekdal and Delcroix already gone and Beyer nowhere near ready, we'd be down to just 3 all of a sudden

I’ve seen Matt Targett linked with a loan move recently (not specifically to us) but you could see the attraction there.

According to Sky Sheffield United are stepping up their interest in Jimmy Dunne. I wonder if we included a sell on percentage when we sold him.

Karlan Grant asking to leave West Brom.

An average striker, perhaps yes (in fact, is he even that?), but he offers something different in that sort of Andre Gray-esque pacy option through the middle. I can't imagine there are many viable options on deadline day, but I wouldn't say no to give us a totally different proposition through the middle (don't all lynch me...).
