Barely had a kick for Fulham this season. Could see this one being a possible.

No but they played together at Fulham for a couple of years
Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Given his age even if he runs down his contract whoever he signs for will have to agree compensation with us or this will be sorted by a tribunal unless 1) rules have changed for under 23's or 2) he moves abroad when I think the fee is different. Just like Danny Ings to Liverpool all those years ago.Claretnick wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 1:44 pmUnfortunately we cannot force the pen into his hand. Maybe, on the advice of his agent, he wants to keep all options open. Likewise we could sell him today if a suitable offer came in.....

that might be right actually - didn't he caretake at the end of the season after the manager was sacked till they were relegated then was appointed full time and brought them back up?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 2:17 pmPretty sure parker was manager in 18-19 season when Sessegnon played for Fulham in the prem?

Not in the know and haven’t verified but my PNE supporting mate thinks we’re after Osmajic alongside Leeds and PL teams based on something from their messageboard. Wouldn’t be completely against that one for the right price.
Think we desperately need a proper finisher and hope that we see at least one more come in today.

Just checked Parker was manager at Fulham Feb 2018-19 season. So they would have over lapped by a few monthsSelby Claret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 2:19 pmthat might be right actually - didn't he caretake at the end of the season after the manager was sacked till they were relegated then was appointed full time and brought them back up?

Manning would be ok but Sessegnon would be a very good signing. Struggled with fitness issues but by far the superior player.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Sessegnon would cover the left back and attacking options. Being able to cover both would be a big bonus.
Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Is it the same Sessegnon that is quite versatile down the left? Or was that his brother? Much prefer the versatile one who could even play as a left footed winger, almost in the mould of Maatsen

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Would be over the moon with Sessegnon - 15 goals in his last season at this level from a left wing back position presumably? Had big injury issues but he appears to be fit and knows Parker.

I'm sure I read a page or two back that Egan had gone.
Is that actually true?

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
as far as games O’Connor is concerned we aren’t signing manning, he broke the initial link, think the ‘left back in the building’ might be a little premature
Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
If West Ham have signed Ferguson, could we renew our interest in Antonio?

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Does anyone know why we signed Ashley Barnes in this window?... I am staggered that we have not signed a quality striker yet.
The Barnes signing feels like a wasted wage and team squad slot at this "present moment in time" to use some overused Scott Parker phraseology!... I hope we pull our finger out in the next hour or two.

We possibly already knew that Jay Rod was leaving?

Take your pick!

The fact Parker didn’t bring Barnes on till the 89th minute when it was 0-0 at the weekend is a good indicater that he didn’t want to sign Barnes and it was all an Alan Pace signingBigChaCha wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:14 pmDoes anyone know why we signed Ashley Barnes in this window?... Some sort of Cheerleader role is all I can see. Bizarre signing, but I think Pace got a bit carried away with that one.BigChaCha wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:14 pmDoes anyone know why we signed Ashley Barnes in this window?... I am staggered that we have not signed a quality striker yet.

Probably a coaching role lined up in the summer.

Striker dept.... Huntondji and Jay have moved on, and only Barnes has arrived,
We need a striker or two.
What's going on, or is some masterplan still to be revealed?
