Rancid. Inconsistent and awful decision making. Booked Roberts after allowing advantage. Problem was it was a foul on Cullen first. Pedantry on our set pieces but not theirs. Hannibal won the ball and it was never a booking. He'd been pulled and kicked all half. He then went on the wind up when Hannibal was being subbed. Loads of shirt pulling from Oxford. Their centre back on Flemming literally and not even looking at the ball. There were two iffy offsides against us first half as well.

The Hannibal booking is the epitome of a referee having absolutely no idea about the game of football. Another wildly substandard official.

4 games in league 2 and some fools think it's OK to put him up to the Championship
Absolute shite and way out of his depth at this level .As Ricky Tomlinson may have said" fast tracked my arse"

Made it all about him tonight. Stopping us from taking quick free kicks to have a word with players (and not book them), enabled the time wasting and let's not get started on Hannibal's yellow card.
We are on a horrendous run of poor refs at the moment.

Not worth scoring. Just utter Shite.
A laughingstock. In his own head probably thinks he had a blinder.

You would think the ball going in completely the opposite direction would be an indication than Hannibal played the ball !

Thought he was poor. Most glaring incompetences were when blowing up on 3 occasions, when he could have quite easily played an advantage. Twice for Oxford and once for us.

A- 8
B- 8. Blowing for a free kick rather than an advantage was like a coin toss. Sometimes he did. Sometimes he didn’t.
C- 22. Wasn’t ever not up with play.
D- 18. Players tried to give him some grief. Didn’t stand for it. Good to see.
In terms of decision making. Miles better than what we had at the weekend, but still not great. Been a championship referee for a few years and doesn’t seem to get any better but is always injured.

He wasn't brilliant but I'll give him credit for one excellent piece of refereeing. When Hannibal was having his customary meltdown after his booking their Captain went after him to deliberately provoke a reaction which would have brought about a red card. The ref saw it for what it was immediately and booked their Captain correctly IMHO.

Find it hard to believe there is any angle to make the Hannibal yellow look a foul let a lone a card

Strange game. Inconsistent would be my main complaint. Booked Roberts having played an advantage, then when Roberts was blatantly pulled back and allowed advantage, no booking. He looked like he’d been forewarned about Hannibal - couldn’t wait to book him for what was an excellent tackle. 18 must have committed 6/7 fouls in midfield - surely a booking on the totting up front. Series of soft free kicks given in favour of defenders in and around the box that would never be given as penalties if the other way around - I just don’t get that. That said - no obvious errors of significance but room for much improvement

He made a really easy game look very hard to referee.
Seemed to blow every time they went to ground. Missed a lot of their shirt tugging.
Made us have to take Hannibal off
The guy who kept fouling Cullen, no booking.

Seemed to get some key decisions wrong for me - should the Oxford player have been sent off just before half time, how on earth was Hannibal carded?

Thought he doing OK until he gave a foul against Hannibal then booked him although the latter might have been for his reaction when you couldn’t ask for a bigger display of dissent.
Re taking quick free kicks a lot of people moaned when the ref pulled this up but some were not from the right place and some others were when the ref had to notate a yellow card and update his record.

A pernickety ref, to say the least. Irritating on most occasions. Not sure why Hannibal was booked for a superb tackle. Spoilt the poor lad, from then on.
Also despite his picky attitude on pitch, he failed disastrously with the keeper's time wasting. Didn't even register.

He was annoying rather than poor. We've certainly had far worse this season.
The booking of Hannibal was a total joke and from that point on you could see the Oxford players looking for a reaction from Hannibal. The highlight of which was Brannagan trying to hack him down cynically in front of the Longside (for which he got booked) and then squaring up to him in the hope Hannibal would react. Thankfully he didn't and moments later he had to be subbed..all because of a very poor decision by the ref.
I also don't know how blatantly booting the ball from a couple of yards at a prostrate players head can be allowed to happen and go unpunished.

Another poor referee. Some strange and inconsistent decisions on advantage for both sides and the yellow card for Hannibal was ridiculous.

Yes I’d like to add that when Hannibal was subbed the ref walked with him until he was clear of all Oxford players, it was to simply stop Hannibal and any Oxford players making things worse. That was about the only good part of his refereeing all night.

I’d agree with that and we have had far, far worse this season.
