I missed again as I was working away in Derby and couldn't be bothered travelling there and back, might have done if I had been enjoying the recent midweek games.
As a side, I wonder if the club will start doing something about people that don't attend and don't resell their tickets on the exchange? I could be wrong but I'm sure I heard Man Utd do this if a season ticket isn't being used a lot? Could be getting my wires crossed.
Recently read that about a Utd ST who was not able to use an e-ticket for one reason or another. There was an issue for 5 matches where the stewards had to their ability to scan and allow access. Utd took this as the ST had missed 5 games and put his seat up for sale for next game. Utd used to have quite stringent rules about their STs, for example missing a League Cup would result in a sanction.
Next season, Brighton, if a ST misses 5 or more games the holder will not be eligible for a ST for the following season.
Clubs want to maximise their revenue, they want seats filled by punters with deep pockets who will spend on merchandise and food and drink.
IMO clubs recognise that STs are VFM for the punter and not the club and overtime the benefits of been an ST will be diluted.

I live 250 miles away and put mine on the exchange. The problem is that they don't sell, especially if it is just a single seat.

Saw this, think he was an old chap without a smartphone and the stewards just let him in or something. More positive PR for them

I couldn’t go on the game, nor will I for Hull either. Being a Clarets season ticket holder roughly 2.5 hours from Burnley has not been fun this season. I’ve managed to only miss I think 4 home games due to a use of annual leave but it’s been difficult at times!

I don't put mine on because I don't want some divvy sitting in my seat and those that sit around me thinking its a friend that I've given my ticket to

Midweek games are harder for many people to get to. For some it will be outright impossible to get there without missing work etc. For others (I include myself here) it's not impossible to make it but certainly more inconvenient and difficult to attend than weekend matches. That then leads to a trade off in my mind about the benefits/costs of attending which given that we had scored the lowest amount of goals at home of any team in the division this season, makes it harder to justify attending.
I also think the lack of Saturday matches has an impact. More people attend on Saturdays, the atmosphere and general match day experience is generally better, and with regular Saturdays you'd hope there's a bit of momentum with atmosphere that might carry into the midweek matches. Bring in a couple of months of matches being played not on Saturdays and I think you lose that momentum and ultimately impacting the matchday experience, probably leading to more people not attending.
Back to the question in the thread title, I'm not sure as I wasn't there
