Teams want you to play a way that makes you easy to beat, that's the top and bottom of it. Not one club moaned about VKs football last season as they were battering us every week.

There's a large percentage of people in the world that hate seeing others do well. These days you can lose weight, get in decent shape and go to the gym, you'll still get comments from people about how boring you have become. The worlds changed and people love a bandwagon, rather than applauding people on what's working well.

I mean it’s really not rocket science to figure out what has changed.

We have the most expensive squad in the league and the second highest wage bill.

There is an expectation that the club goes up this season. Most teams that go up automatically are usually pretty decent to watch as they dominate the rest of the league.

We are a really weird phenomenon we are a side that doesn’t really dominate teams and the football is pretty boring (to say the least).

To put a long story short, the expectation from the vast majority of fans (especially on social media) was that we would go up comfortably playing decent football. We are not meeting that expectation so people complain.

Personally I don’t really care, getting up is more important than anything else

I think everyone wants Scott to do well and is fully behind him, and he is doing a super job there’s no doubt about that, we would all have taken this position at this stage.

I don’t think there’s anything entitled about wanting us to score more than 1 goal, or in some cases, just 1 goal, against teams we should be putting away for fun.

This football is something new to us in that it’s just so flat, with Dyches anti football we were underdogs and in peoples faces and running into the ground, Vinnys team was all out attack for the most part in this league, although last season was no fun. I just don’t think we are used to this style.

I think it’s thoroughly unenjoyable but we look to potentially be heading up, so that’s the trade off I guess.

I do think this style stands us in better stead for the PL than last seasons wide open nonsense.

I think part of it is that we have been in the Prem on numerous occasions recently, so there is none of that giddy excitement that we had in the Coyle promo year and the joy we had to be heading back to the big time under Dyche.

We've had a good few years of being pretty successful now for a club of our size. Its just human nature, being in the Prem or at the top of the Championship just isn't that exciting anymore. If we go up this year thats 5 promotions in 16 years.
As daft as it sounds if we had a few years struggling in league 1 then came back up there'd be more of a buzz about the place.

I’d politely suggest that if all you want is a slightly better style and a few more goals at home, then the OP wasn’t for you. It was probably for the absolute bedwetters (buzz word alert) that are coming out with “worst I’ve EVER seen us play” and “I’m not going on again until he’s gone”

The problem is that the fans that took us from 16000 to 20000 jumped on board after the first promotion to the premiership and stuck around after that, all they've known is us as a yo-yo club. The promotions since then have been fairly straight forward and easy.

That's what they are used to.

Now we play a different style, and sometimes not as out and out destroying teams they are struggling to cope with it.

Call it entitled, call it glory hunters, call it part timers. Whichever you prefer, but that's the reason.

We could do with the fans sticking with us though. Plus they'll all still be out lining Yorkshire street come may for the open top bus

As someone who wouldn't follow Burnley if they weren't in the Premier League or at least top 6 in the Championship I don't see myself as entitled by expecting us to get promoted playing exciting attacking football.

It's hard enough keeping the faith when you live in a place like Leeds with such a great football club and fanatical fanbase so we could do without all these 0-0 draws we keep having to witness

It’s an interesting thought this notion of entitlement, but I’m not sure it’s a fair or valid assessment of our fan base.

As others have mentioned, how each of us perceives the way we play can be very different from one person to the next.

Personally, as I have said on several occasions, I do often find us a tough watch, but in fairness we should have battered Oxford earlier this week and we played really well. Conversely, I thought we were really poor at Pompey, and for the first time ever, I left with 5 to go because we could have been there all night and not score!

I think this is then compounded by the fact we have had 9 other equally dull games this season, and for some fans, when they pay your hard earned money, you want some form of entertainment!

However, if some fans simply think we should be smashing teams 4-0 every week, then yes, this might be what you mean by entitlement.
