If the initial issue was a burst appendix, as a professional athlete this can take some time to get back to a level to play competitive sport again, there is also the ongoing risk of further infections from the initial rupture.

Can't the mods just shut this thread down, leave the lad to deal with whatever issues he may have and get the necessary help if it's required. Then we as fans can concentrate on the task in hand and put our energy into backing the lads..........just a constant regurgitation of "no need" 🫣

You don't have to delve deeply into people's personal medical records I'm not endorsing that. I'm not interested if people have suffered veruccas or ingrowing toenails etc in the past or anything intrusive. We got informed that Lyle foster was undergoing mental health problems once upon a time & that was that it wasn't necessary to know the exact in & outs from the moment he was born. Running true to form some members of the forum have taken it upon themselves to jump to the rash conclusion that it's a suggested requirement that we know this information when the simple prior suggestion was to know the exact truth laid bare.
“We got informed that Lyle foster was undergoing mental health problems”.
The club statement was released "on behalf of Lyle Foster and his family" to "share with you an update on Lyle's illness".
It added: "He is currently in the care of specialists - giving him the support and care he needs to help him back to full health.

Can you see why the club was able to update!?

 the club cannot release medical information, if this is the reason, without the player agreeing. The exact truth laid bare is obviously not possible, for whatever reason(s).

You’re going to need a new drum to bang. This one must be ****** by now!

I think you have pretty much summed it up "if this is the reason" I'm strongly of the belief there is nothing to report as he's as fit as a butcher dog but doesn't want to get involved. I'll have you a sportsman bet that if we are promoted you'll see a miraculous recovery faster than the speed of light proceeds to the food bank.

I’ll take that bet……

Although I could do with clarification on just how quickly the speed of light proceeds to the food bank!

He was apparently on €90k a year at Genk though. 12x-ing your salary isn’t bad going!

European players earn so much less, but by way of example Maatsen and Tella were only on £10k per week in the championship season.

And yes it is. Although the missed flight should’ve been all we needed to pull out of the deal.
Where have you heard that he was only on €90k PA?

I don't think either of us would win it's more likely that he'll be moved on voiding any pay out.

That’s fine, no payout for a sportsman’s bet.

I’m inclined to agree.

Even though the true definition of a sportsman bet involves no money it's not really personal gain if it's pledged elsewhere. I believe Alan pace is a honest man hence my confidence.

By saying it was reported and taking it as fact then quoting “well I heard it at the ground” makes you sound incredibly gullible.

You made the Tresor situation sound straight forward like we should all just accept whatever some random poster on here has said.
So we shouldn’t accept that no more than 2 weeks ago Parker said in his presser that he couldn’t be sure if Tresor would still be at the club at the end of the window, that’s a player who has clearly had talks about leaving because he doesn’t want to be at the club, all the people saying leave the lad alone. He was showing he’s displeasure in still being at the club after the summer window on social media

There shouldn’t be a thread about him, should be threads about players that actually want to be at the club

Came on here to find out out about check-out Sally, and provide an update.

Last I heard she was off work ill, and rumoured to be pregnant - so probably morning sickness. Her partner's medical records have been reviewed and it's ben discovered he's firing blanks. DC's neighbour has been round to cut her lawn (euphemism?).

So I went to see Sally to ask if she was up the duff, who was responsible and who had trimmed her bush.

Got short shift and told to leave as it was none of my business.

Guess we'll find out in a few months' time if there are "developments". Bit like Mike Tresor.

The amount of people who jump to the defence of Tresor when it’s clear he doesn’t want to be at the club, regardless of his illness he wanted out of the club in the summer and the club and Parker even said he was available for selection and had been training for weeks. Multiple reports in around around the ground of him turning up late to training, calling in sick.

Give me a player with Anthony’s attitude over Tresor any day of the week
I take it you've got all these 'multiple reports' to hand then and share to the message board? So surely you can let us know the names of the people 'around the ground' that have been saying these things? If you can't, then you're possibly listening to tittle tattle gossip and hanging on their every word to suit your agenda.

Do you rant like that to every single poster on here that ever says what they have heard without giving games of who’s told. I look forward to you calling out people in the summer transfer window thread

But if you must know I actually said on here a few weeks ago that one of my pals takes his son to junior coaching in the evening and heard two coaches talking about Tresor turning up late when he actually arrives and had been calling in sick, the same info was being discussed around the ground before the Sunderland game to

Posters absolutely lap up any slightest second hand information on the transfer thread yet when you put some information about a player who doesn’t want to be at the club you get 62835 quote replies calling the info out and saying ‘leave the lad alone’

Poor guy is turning into a Remco van der Schaaf.
He was supposed to be the best player in the Belgium league, he was going to rip the English league apart according to Kompany.

Lad never plays, then when he does he gets injured.

He's not going to get a look in now. We've got Edwards, Benson, Redmond and possibly Ramsey who will all come in ahead of him now on top of what we already had.
His chance has been and gone.

That song was embarrassing. Can't believe that's what his teammates had sung to them when they went over for applause after a hard fought away win at a team in a higher division.

Didn’t go today and although I couldn’t hear the words I thought it was a positive to hear a new and fairly original song over the stream I was watching.

Now I’ve realised what the words are I’m less than impressed. Walton’s point about them singing it at the end when the players have gone over to clap them is spot on. So tinpot and embarrassing.

Whatever the situation with Tresor, I’m sick of it. When you think how much it must be costing our club, with how little end product we’ve had, it makes you realise how everything seems to be in favour of the player, and not the club they are employed by.
I realise we don’t know all the circumstances, but if it is another injury/illness, just how unlucky can one man be.

It was cringe, but there was a hell of alot singing it.. especially at full time.

Even the Burnley team pushed Shelvey over to applaud the fans while the fans were singing it. But to be fair, I doubt they understood the lyrics, just the Shelvey part.

‘I don’t care about Tresor, he don’t care about me, all I care about is Jonjo Shelvey’

I've said it to my mates, I'm convinced there's more to it and he cant get himself fit... if that is the case there's a lot of folk need to take a long hard look at themselves for some of the comments you read.
Surely his teammates wouldn't be laughing and joking with him if he was a bad egg that refused to play.

Like all modern day burnley chants, they are just copies with words changed to suit Burnley.

Anyway, it was this chant: https://www.facebook.com/coysnews1882/v ... 7S9Ucbxw6v

But the lyrics were we don't care about Tresor etc.

It was pretty pathetic. Some right knuckle draggers there today to be fair
You sound pretty pathetic slagging off some fans who'd travelled over 240 miles to support and sing for their team! If you didn't like the song, fine but knuckle draggers, c'mon!

Exactly, it was a good following today.. a really good following to the south coast.

To claim it was the knuckle daggers is an insult. The true knuckle draggers have probably never been past the midlands, unless it was a play off game.

There was a few young uns singing that chant in the corner from early on, but by the end the majority were singing it.. and they were not wrong uns. Infact as you'd expect, I saw more respectful Burnley fans today.
