Is it too soon for the 'going to Wembley' song? Great performance and result, bit boring only scoring the 1 goal though ;)

Really enjoyed that , great win and excellent pitch time for Jonjo/Benny/Edwards and the youngster Bauress. Let’s hope for a decent home draw
Don’t forget Redmond. Players coming back from injury and the new lads is great news.

Good performance and an excellent goal! Lots of positives including good game time for players needing match fitness.

It will be interesting to see who plays in midweek, and if we can find a way to be more adventurous in attack against a team who are likely to sit deep.

Somehow playing a back 5 allowed us to be more attacking, that was excellent.

Hannibal and Humphreys in particular

Pires fair play much better game

Bauress calmed it down when he came on

I am happy with that today. A 3-4-3 come 5-2-3 so a new system with players coming back from injury against a side who you could class as a top end championship side now really . I thought Hannibal was superb barring his decision making at times going forward. All round good result

So many good performances.

Sarmiento
Hanibal
CJ
Sonne

Bauress looked comfortable in possession when he came on.

Good performance. Really enjoyed that
To say Shelvey hadn't played in months I thought he put in a solid performance - you could tell he was slowly finding his feet and getting back into competitive football.

Bauer’s will be some player , he’s like a Cullen 2.0.

Hannibal’s energy was riduculous . But you have to say our bench is looking very good.

And a shout out to Barnes. It was a barneque performance winning free kicks and putting himself about

A hybrid of a fluid 4231 / 541
With 5 at the back it gave CJER to freedom to push on a few runs, also the best I've seen Hannibal play all season

Looked like a 5-2-3 / 5-4-1 out of possession, then in possession a fluid type of 4-4-2.

A back 3 of CJ, Worrall and Steve will be some defence, with Humphreys and Roberts/Sonne as wingbacks would be ridiculous

I know Barnes didn't look like scoring, but quite a few of his touches were great for keeping the play going forward.

Some notes from that match

Egan Riley is exceptional. Starting to look like Beyer with those forward runs.
Bauress looked good enough for the first team. Very composed and forward thinking.
Edwards looks to have some real talent to unlock defences. Will do him a world of good hopefully to score on his debut.
With Edwards Redmond and Benson now available we have some real options going forward.
Another clean sheet, I make that 12 conceded in 34 games this season.
A good solid team performance.

Parker isn't mad enough to change how the defence line up. Has to stay as a back 4.

I'm not suggesting that for one minute, just saying it's obviously an option of needed. They proved today they can play the system

Great to read that we tried out a few different players and a different system with success. Sounds a bit like how we lined up at Luton.

Tim Sherwood very complimentary about us on Sky.
Yes. And if you didn't see the later summary that he gave when all the games were over, he doubled down and gave Scott Parker and the team a 3-minute long complinentary eulogy.

The gist of it was that although there were 8 changes etc, the players that came in all knowing exactly what they were supposed to do and when. Heaped praise on the coaching.

I think that can be seen in the latest YouTube video in the coaches meeting, t's mentioned very clearly that they want all teams playing the same system
