Season cards ...
Just thought I would ask this on here.
In my "Google Wallet" it has the facility to photograph my season card and recreates it including Barcode and all details etc.

Has anyone on here done this and used to enter on match days

Don't you have to download match by match? I wouldn't risk it given the problems I've had with ticketing issues this season.

I've downloaded several this season and used them without issue. The download does supersede your season ticket though

I can't see why this wouldn't work, as the scanner is still scanning the same information

This isn't downloading ... its just the "Google wallet" photo of my season card that has recreated a virtual season ticket.

Not brave enough to try it yet until I've checked it with the ticket office

I tested it once and I couldn't get in. Thankfully I had my actual season ticket so had no issue, but I wouldn't risk it again.

I’m not into all this modern stuff on phones but my question is, what happens if you get to the ground and your battery has died or you can’t get a signal. I’ve not added if you forget your phone as it’s the same thing if you left your season card.

If someone runs out of battery that's down to them, and you don't need a signal to access your phones wallet.
I still prefer my card though
I think someone said all tickets are digital in the Premier league next season.

My husband has it on his phone initially as back up - he has been known to forget his season ticket. But he now uses it every match now and not had a problem.

Though you would have to know that you have to put your ticket in the wallet in the first place. Many of the people causing queues at the turnstile simply didn't know this was the case, and you know how difficult it is to pick up a signal once you're at the ground.

If they're that thick they shouldn't have a phone

There’s absolutely not a chance in hell I’d use my fone for this. YMMV, and that’s fair enough, but anything involving BFC ticket office HAS to be treated with caution.
Use my fone for everything else mind, so I’m no Luddite, but I’ve only just learned to trust my season card to get in.

Not correct. It comes in for the 2026/27 season but any club promoted has two years grace.
We have sold season tickets in any case for next season with absolutely nothings said about them going digital.

This has probably been told before but if you download your ticket onto your phone it adds 10 loyalty points every time you do it. A little hack if you want to increase your loyalty points for those away games that might be quite popular and could put you in the bracket to be able to buy earlier.

What if you forget your wallet or leave it on the bar, after getting a round in...maybe having it nicked or falling out when you bend over?

No internet /phone signal at the ground. Wouldn’t like to try and download anything last minute. I’d prefer it as it is.

Exactly! I had a downloaded ticket. Must have been a league cup match or something. Parked and tried to download...the rest you will understand. Palpitations.

Why on earth do they want to do that? What are the advantages of disenfranchising perhaps 10% of your customers?
I had a row with the Chicago Cubs ticket office about getting a paper ticket for the match because I hadn't got a smartphone. In the end he told me to go back to the hotel to show him my "non-smart" phone before he would believe me. (Though he must have felt he was in the wrong because he gave me an upgrade.)

Because they are happy with the other 90%?

I was the other said of Burnley. Didn't think it would be an issue. It did download eventually, however, the next bit was even worse. Didn't work. Had to leg it from Longside to Ticket office...and queue. Missed about 10 mins.
