Re: Tom Anderson.
He’s been on the bench recently but good to see him back. Not just ex-Burnley but a Burnley lad.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 7:59 pmEx Burnley, playing against Palace.

Re: Tom Anderson.
He might have been born in Burnley General but he went to school in Accrington…which would be unusual if he was a Burnley lad.

Re: Tom Anderson.
Not really - at the time Tom was at school many parents were sending their children to schools in Accrington because the likes of Saint Christophers were performing better than all the burnley schools.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 8:38 pmHe might have been born in Burnley General but he went to school in Accrington…which would be unusual if he was a Burnley lad.

What difference does that make?Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 8:38 pmHe might have been born in Burnley General but he went to school in Accrington…which would be unusual if he was a Burnley lad.

Born in Burnley, grew up in Burnley, schooled in Blackburn (there's many of us)Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 8:38 pmHe might have been born in Burnley General but he went to school in Accrington…which would be unusual if he was a Burnley lad.

Both my lads were born in Burnley General but went to school in Accrington. They weren't alone in doing so either.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 8:38 pmHe might have been born in Burnley General but he went to school in Accrington…which would be unusual if he was a Burnley lad.

Re: Tom Anderson.
He certainly did grow up in Burnley. His parents’ back garden backed onto ours. He lived on Wythburn Close in Ightenhill, just off Cumbrian Way. After Wellfield Church School, he attended St Christopher’s Church School in Accrington.

Re: Tom Anderson.
Quite a lot of responses to me on this thread….some with a bit of an edge...(maybe a bad day at work for some)….
If you’re local you’re typically either born in Burnley, Blackburn or Bury. I was born in Bury but never lived there. I knew he schooled in Accrington so was trying to say (maybe in a poorly worded way) that it wasn’t a ‘gimme’ that he was actually a Burnley lad.

Re: Tom Anderson.
You’ve posted two things about Anderson. One suggesting he wasn’t from Burnley and one saying your mum taught him at a school he didn’t attend.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 9:21 pmQuite a lot of responses to me on this thread….some with a bit of an edge...(maybe a bad day at work for some)….

Maybe the responses are people trying to put the record straight.

Re: Tom Anderson.
Was well known he was a Burnley lad though and the replies were just responding to your theory he wasn’t because of the area he attended school.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 9:21 pmQuite a lot of responses to me on this thread….some with a bit of an edge...(maybe a bad day at work for some)….

He definitely went to st.christophers, my lad went to hollins and played against him in school team when they were 13/14
Re: Tom Anderson.
A friend of mine who is a hardcore Blackburn fan knows Tom through family links. Struggles to find a bad word to say against him. Says he is a really nice guy.

Tom Anderson went to Mount Carmel RC High School for years 7 and 8. His mum taught music at the same school when he was there.

Re: Tom Anderson.
Feel a bit guilty saying this but I only recognise the name because his performance in a pre season friendly against Accrington stands out as one of the worst I have ever seen in a Burnley shirt.
