Advisable pubs Pubs in the city centre would be the ‘strip’ starting at the Wetherspoons up towards the Adelphi which is the student end of town. Last time we ventured up the Main Street and although the Wetherspoons at the top allowed us in others didn’t.

This pub has started advertising for away fans over the last couple of years.

For those of you making the journey over to Lancashire, to go to the PNE game at Deepdale, on Saturday, please note that a great "away friendly pub" is The White Hart, 230 Watling Street Road, Fulwood, Preston PR2 8AD.
The pub has a big car park - plus plenty of street parking nearby. They have Sky/TNT Sports on plenty of TVs and a good range of beers.
The pub now has a new food wagon in the car park serving breakfast butties, as well as burgers, hot dogs and chips etc. from 9am,
All Leeds fans are welcome at the White Hart pub; So, come along hang your flags up and have a good old pre-match singsong amongst friends.
The pub is around a ten-minute walk to the away (Bill Shankly Kop) end at Deepdale. But if you don't fancy that there is a bus stop across from the pub that will drop you right outside the ground (take the #6) or call you a local taxi – or of course an Uber!).
Looking forward to seeing lots of Leeds fans there on Saturday – note the pub opens at 9am!

Last time on the Tuesday night the Police allowed fans from the train to make their own way to the pubs and ground.
The majority of Burnley fans went in the pub just before Weatherspoons.

Not sure how many will open up before an early kick off though. Might just be Spoons or the White Hart that's posted above.

The White Hart is convenient for street parking and a couple of pints before the match. Not so great for the quality of beer on offer.

Most of the pubs in the city centre are fine as long as you aren’t silly. There’s a couple that are more ‘local’ but they stand out a mile. Recommendations are Continental (though that’s a bit out), Black Horse, Guild Ale House and Chain House Brewery.

The Old Vic on Friargate virtually opposite the front of the station allows away fans in
Near the ground The Lonsdale Club is open and allows fans in . They do a limited amount of food so it’s first come first served for food. It’s on Fulwood Hall Lane .You may get parked on the club but the road is that big that you will always get parked further down but watch the yellow lines
Allow yourself more than ten minutes from the White Hart to actually get into the ground
If you come off at Junction 31a there is the Anderton arms it’s quite a walk to the ground but after the game you won’t have a problem getting away from here . Possibly 30mins walk

A lot don't open til 11 Black Horse opens at 10

The Northern Way and Plau aren't bad for a drink on Friargate

Church St you will get in Bull & Royal, Slug n Lettuce and the spoons across the road if those are the kind of places you want.

All probably a better choice than Hartley's though, which was a bit lively last time I was in there after a midweek game

Neither is it great if you are arriving by train, its quite a walk past the ground when coming from the station.

For those driving, you can park on Sainsbury’s car park, which is a 10min walk, for £6 via YourParkingSpace

I’ll second The Old Vic, but it’s on Fishergate, not Friargate, and it’s my favourite town centre pub. They have a good choice of real ales, frequently a Moorhouse’s one.
All the other shouts on here are decent ones.

Continental is a good shout for after the game if you fancy a more relaxed paint and decent food.

CHB is good, but think pint/can in a garage. Next door do decent pizzas, but is hit and miss wether it’ll be charcoal or not.

I can second this from Dyched about the Conti. Good real pub right by the River Ribble and next door to Miller Park.

We're ariving by train, breakfast at one of the Spoons (Twelve Tellers or Grey Friar), then most likely up to the social club mentioned above.

Any other pointers from others arriving by train appreciated.

We went in the Grey Friar (Wetherspoons) prior to the game - convenient, edge of town between the station and the ground. Plenty of Burnley fans in, cheap beer. Standard Wetherspoons stuff.

We had a couple in the Adelphi after the match. Great bar, it felt like we were the only Burnley in there, but very friendly and some superb IPAs from Tiny Rebel, Beavertown, Flowerhorn and Brew York.

Hogarths had no door staff on when we arrived, in fact there was only 2 people in the pub when we walked in. It was 9am though. Bull & Royal we just walked in without being asked maybe due to being seen leaving Hogarths. The spoons across the road were turning some away and we got told to go to the Bears Paw when we tried there it was too slow getting served so made our way to the ground.

After the match no pub in the centre even asked.

We were going to go in there after the game but we got told it was closed.
It doesn't open in an evening until 7, even on match days strangely

We went in before, wasn't a fan. Slow service. Granted it was busy but was poor

I notice loads of tickets still available and I’d say 1 or 2 blocks not open yet . Only got ours this morning , though ticket office ( Anna?) was fantastic sorting out clarets number error .
Though I guess the 12.15 ko( just daft ) , on tv , and the bloody awful crammed in /bar queues, difficulty drinking pre match etc etc really take the shine off what should be a season highlight so far .
