Be interesting to see if the get taken up.
Even free tickets are hard to get rid of for midweek games.
Looking at the Watford and Norwich stands tonight, plenty of people with tickets prefer to watch at home midweek.

Lovely gesture and credit where credit is due to Mr. Pace.
Might just give a few more future Clarets the bug they'll have for the rest of their lives...unless it's a 0-0 of course

Easy get taken. There's tons of families who would take free tickets, even for a night matchQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 8:40 pmBe interesting to see if the get taken up.

Here goes…
What’s the age limit on parent and child? Can I take my pensionable Dad?
We’ve already bought our tickets so it’s a raspberry in all proper fans faces.
Don’t recall seeing Alan Pace away at Darlington in 1989….
That should do the trick.
Good luck to everybody who enters and be sure to cheer the boys on loudly.

Re: Alan Pace free tickets
Sure it cost him a lot to ask the ticket office to print some complimentary tickets off.
They’ll shift them but it’s the kinda initiative that you would think they’d put some time and promotion in to.

Some proper dicks about ain't there. Proper cancers of the club
Re: Alan Pace free tickets
If it’s anything like Preston away would have taken him all this year to press on the seats for 300 seats
Hopefully will all be taken up

I thought you could only buy a maximum of 6 tickets per clarets number.

Re: Alan Pace free tickets
That’s a good gesture. Probably not in the better Ticket Exchange areas to benefit a STH but one can’t be grumbly. I haven’t even bothered listing mine on the Exchange, never get taken midweek against minnows.
Re: Alan Pace free tickets
Apparently the tickets have been posted to Alan’s old address in Salt Lake City, what a cock up.

Does anyone know what time the draw will be made?
Says ballot closes at 3pm. Hopefully it’s soon after that as if I’m successful I’d have to set off with my lad soon after as travelling from wetherby

Had this been done by Barry Kilby it would have been applauded by all and rightly so. Shame it was done by someone else and it seems has only highlighted that there is a working internet in Royston Vasey.

Re: Alan Pace free tickets
It's a fair initiative, but why leave it so late? I'm a 3 hour drive away, makes it pretty tricky for us ex pats.
Re: Alan Pace free tickets
It won't cost the guy a penny in the long run, people are very naive.

Sorry, that wasn't intended as a dig at all, just wasn't sure why they've made it difficult for anyone who has to travel, I thought they might be part of the target?burnley007 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 9:27 amIt's a fair initiative, but why leave it so late? Does it really matter what it costs Alan Pace.
What matters is some people get free tickets.

Re: Alan Pace free tickets
I entered a competition to win 2 tickets to the superbowl, I didn't win but if I did I would have needed approximately 2 weeks notice to book the time off work, and 12 hours worth of flightsburnley007 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 9:27 amIt's a fair initiative, but why leave it so late? I'm still waiting for a response to my complaint to the NFL

Wasn’t it Barry Kilby would made the comment along the lines of “give a Burnley fan a fiver and they’ll grumble it’s not a tenner”.

Quite amusing to see posters so desperate to have a pop at our fans that they won't wait to see if there are any negative comments before whinging about negative comments.

I think it was Paul, but for balance I believe he also said something along the lines of “kick someone from Burnley and they all limp”.
Great thing for Alan and the club to do. Get bums on seats now we are heading into the business end. May even create the future clarets.

Could give every fan a 1kg gold bar and some would call him tight and say it should be at least 2kg

Re: Alan Pace free tickets
I'm happy to oblige.
It's great that there is a free ticket give away, particularly one that is aimed at parents and children (although that's going to be a tough sell for a midweek game). I don't for one minute believe that Pace has actually bought the 300 tickets though, and I find the claim to be an insult to the intelligence of our supporters.

Re: Alan Pace free tickets
I really don't see negative comments on here, I know you're desperate to see some, but I think people are just discussing how it was done, not in bad way, it's called a forum for people to discuss these things.
I don't understand why everyone on here is so desperate to have a go at other people all the time, honestly any excuse. It's like there are 100s of Donald Trumps on here desperate to get digs in.
