Nothing to do with a divine right. More a case of leaving your crying off the board. It'll help us all.

Preston are playing 150% their normal level. We are currently below par.

Very physical aggressive team. Not letting us settle. Hopefully they won’t be able to keep this up for 90min

We keep playing the ball to the man and not the space so end up giving it to a white shirt.

I don't want to get on his case but Anthony's final ball has let him down on a few occasions now.

Just not been on the same wave length as the other attackers - he isn't shying away from the ball though and still trying to make things happen... it happens.

The forward player keeps moving into space when we pass. Anthony has played a couple to the player when they have gone into space and Foster just did the same. Get one right though and we might be in.

The pitch really suiting Preston's more direct approach and not helping our (poor) passing. A bouncing ball could do anything on this track today.

The bad: Preston are pressing very well, and we're not dealing with it really. Not strong enough on the ball under a challenge, and not finding space beyond the press enough. Longer balls will work in a game like this.
The good: defending brilliantly as usual. Preston are expending a lot of energy and we have a superb bench.

Totally agree it’s just an off day

But that’s the benefit of quality on bench

That's been the tradeoff with JA all year. I agree with SP that the upside is bigger.

Preston set up very well... staying high on Cullen. Not clicking for Burnley in the final third, wasteful in good areas.

Think Anthony has given the ball away in the final third 6 times already
Often great work followed by a poor pass or delivery. A bit of time to think and his decision making can be shaky.

You can’t complain about the pitch. You’re not allowed. Deadwood and Dumpdale are worst two pitches in the league

The Foster chance was a case where the boring football sucks teams in and makes them vulnerable to true pace.

No denying he had a good game mid week, but I’d love to have seen what Edwards would have made of all of the space and opportunity Anthony was afforded in the first half.

Parker needs to have a word with Fleming and Anthony that Foster has been ignored twice on the left.

Foster seems to be liviest on the left, but doesn't feel like there is much cohesion between Foster, Flemming and Anthony today.

Anthony not having the sharpest of games so far regarding final ball, but that's been his inconstiency all season.

PNE playing a derby game and not letting us have our own way which is what you expect away from home, but I think we'll have the quality to get a few pata them second half

If he makes the same runs and has the pace to get onto those balls, no problem. I'm not sure that would be the case, though.

I'd like to see it too, but from the start. Not for 10 minutes late.

The ball is bouncing off Flemming and bouncing around their box - his close control and ability to lead the line is precisely what we're missing today.
