Game of 2 halves, and as ourt greatest recent manager said it's what happens in each box: once again dogged in defence 1st half and then finally been clincal at the other end with some quality team and individual play in and around the box, shutting up the doubters and haters!

We've been very inconsistent this season, probably not since Stan 2001-03 years have been have we gone from sublime to despair, game from game.

2nd half tonight has been another team in another league to the PNE game last week, it's been superb to watch and fantastic confidence for the lads going forward.

Really hope we can continue it to press in now in the next 4-6 games and watch Sheffield Utd fall away.....

Defence looks totally immense and light years away from anything under Stan.
Problem is goals obviously, the one before ht made a huge difference tonight and if one had gone in against PNE I suspect it would have panned out much the same as tonight

Goal difference compared to Sunderland and Sheff Utd is looking good. We are 10 better than Sheff Utd and 14 better than Sunderland.

I didn't compare the two different era of teams in any part of my comment.

I compared the inconsistenty of the results with the same team which is what they both had in common.

Edwards goal lit up an abysmal first half if you can’t see that then , I won’t be abusive.

Surprise surprise, silent for the rest of the thread! Call out the negative points, silent when it ends positive.
All I was saying all thread is wait for the game to end and then judge how it was, not just focus in on parts of it. We ain't gonna be the best version of ourselves every minute of every game, as many expect us to be, but that doesn't mean we can't back them when the going gets tough and we should criticise, which I feel most were doing that 1st half yet we ended up being ahead. Some perspective is all I was commenting on.
