Edward’s is our new Tella?
Just a thought after watching Marcus Edward’s tonight, could he be the spark similar to what Nathan Tella brought to the team 2 years ago?

Yes, led the front line by example. Raised confidence of the players around him. Good to see the close control and confidence.

He's a level above anything we have. Hopefully be able to keep his fitness and have a positive impact on our remaining games in the league.

He’s an absolute baller. He could make all the difference now we are getting to the nitty gritty.

Thank god for that, I'd have hated for us to sign another cardboard cut-out like Tresor, or the full-size Ryan Reynolds thing my 13year old granddaughter has in her bedroom!

Wiggling through the box in tight spaces last night for his goal reminded me of Robbie Blake.
Christ I hope he’s capable of that consistently

He deserves several threads not just the two already on the first page.

He's a better player than Tella.

Edwards gives us an extra dimension.
I'd written off our chances before last night but we're in with a shout if he keeps performing like last night.

Re: Edward’s is our new Tella?
If we go up, I think we'll see Edwards and Tella in the same team, playing off a central striker.
Now that'd be something to get really excited about.

Two players booked last night for trying to rough him up. One when he wasn't on the ball. But it didn't let it upset him. He's quite robust and a really good player

He’ll be targeted now but hopefully that will go in our favour especially if he doesn’t pick up any injuries. Brilliant last night.

Re: Edward’s is our new Tella?
I think we'll find he'll get quite a bit of "treatment" from defenders over the coming weeks.
The good news is if they double up on him etc, it should create space for us in other areas.
Looks a good un for sure...

He could be the one to ignite the rest and turn a possible 7 or 8 wins into 9 or 10

Re: Edward’s is our new Tella?
One of the first antonym's that come up when you google Pedantry is creativity.

Back to topic - I actually think Foster if used correctly could be our answer to the missing Tella.
Edward's (did that for you DC) just gives us incredible creativity (see) and threat!
Re: Edward’s is our new Tella?
Would quite like to see him on the right with foster up front and Shelvey in the team on Saturday.
