That was nowhere near as poor as some are saying.

Burnley dug in well and battled hard.

Not a great performance but it didn't need to be tonight. It was all about getting those points.

After all that hard work surely the easiest bit for Foster then was to just bury it?

I despair. 3 points keeps us in the automatic race but we're getting worse not better.

Really unconvincing second half. Should have been more comfortable but the only thing that matters are the three points.

We've really got away with that tonight. That last 35 minutes was dreadful. Parker tactically outthought by the Cardiff manager there.

Terrible second half performance and terrible ref but who cares, 2 points behind Sheffield United and yet to play them again- it’s in our hands so let’s keep getting these wins however we can.

Very few players besides Foster wins that battle and gets in on goal. The problem is, there's a lot of players you'd rather have instead of Foster to score 1v1

To be fair, we should have been out of sight after 60 mins.

We weren’t and it gave Cardiff some impetus.

Fortunate in the end? A bit. Shite? No.

A good 3 points but it should have been a lot more comfortable than that. A mixture of poor finishing, some very poor refereeing and some sloppy defending meant they had a chance to push on in the last 30 mins.

Glad the clean sheet went. Fed up of hearing about it and wondering who would end the run. Well we know that was Cardiff. Let's try no to concede many more but we really need to find some way of scoring some more with the talent at our disposal.

Cardiff won 69% of the headers - you can expect similar this weekend i think against Luton. Need to be better

The game should have been dead and buried after an hour. Edwards should have scored and the referee should have given us at least one penalty. The final half an hour was as bad as it gets though.

We were second to every ball, all over the pitch. How can we look so leggy after resting everyone for PNE? I watched on the Cardiff stream and their commentators said that's the best they've played all season. We gave them the impetus by messing around at the back, allowing them to press, and then not competing for any balls in the midfield. Woeful stuff to a man in the final 30, woeful. Lucky lucky Burnley. We've got away with one tonight.

Looked like a complete lack of confidence from Lyle. If he stops shooting he'll never get the goal that will give his confidence a boost.

Don’t forget they hit the post and missed by inches at the death so they equally could have won the game. Fortunately it’s all about putting the ball in the net .

We're 22 unbeaten. We're 3rd in the league. We've just beaten a team who were previously 6 unbeaten at home, despite having 2 stonewall pens turned down. Yes it got scrappy at times, yes they looked a threat when they lobbed it in at their big striker, but we won. Why are people on here so bloody negative all the time?

The thing is you could see it coming a mile off.

Cardiff goal just before HT, you knew they were going to come out and make it a slog.

Parker has alluded to it before in interviews but it’s concerning that once we lose momentum and the game gets away from us, we never bring it back under our control again.

Credit to Cardiff, they are better than their position suggests, but we absolutely shouldn’t be getting hemmed in by a side battling relegation for 30+ minutes.

There’s a mentality in this squad to protect what we have, which is fine at times, but we revert to this mentality too easily, too soon in games, and too often.

A decent effort made more difficult by the ref and our apparent lethargy from the 11 day break most have had.

Purple patches in both halves won us the game, the one in the second half when Edwards started roaming should have led to 2 penalties and an easy win. I’m not changing my mind on VAR yet but these refs aren’t making it easy for me.

Not just the pen. Flemming and Edwards miss good chances and we wasted several good positions. We were all over them that first 15 mins of the second half. I felt a goal was inevitable we were so dominant. Then the momentum changed and we were hanging on.

Parker's subs tonight left a lot to be desired. Not sure how a team can play far worse by putting fresher players on the pitch. Pretty sure that has to be tactics and formations which are all on the manager.

Foster has no confidence at the minute and is scared of shooting and missing. I wish he had just hit it as if he had scored it would have done him the world of good.

The ref has to give one of the early second half pens and if we score that it puts the game to bed, back 4 had a poor night and couldn’t cope with cardiffs direct play.

Cullen man of the match for me

As much as foster should of scored at the end, he causes defenders much more problems than Flemming does
