I wasn't expecting anybody to mark Roberts above Pires tonight.
The crowd noise was turned down low on sky. Was he getting loads of stick for his Swansea connections?
Is that why he was so poor?

Esteve is starting to worry me. He’s been ok that last 6-7 games but last 2 he’s been really poor imo.

I think teams have figured out if you press him he doesn’t have the same ability as ER to pass it out

From tv
Trafford 6 one off for slowing everything down
Roberts 5 one of his poorer defensive performances
CJ 7 steady
Esteve 7 steady
Pires 6 better than Roberts tonight
Cullen 7 good first half, then didn’t show up in the second, and when he doesn’t show up the the rest of the team don’t
Brownhill 7 plus one for goal
Hannibal 6 good first half then not much afterwards
Edwards 4 he had a 10 minute purple patch in the second but for the rest of the game he settled into Parker’s backward, sideways, backward, sideways passing tactics
Flemming 6 could have scored and did set up goal for Esteve
Anthony 5 frustrating, he does a couple of nice things then just gives the ball away or makes a poor final pass

Laurent 5 too slow even for the Championship
Foster 5 a verge average performance but no service at all in that second half

We played quite well in the first half but once they scored we went into “hold on to what we’ve got” mode. Our second half was disappointing, I really don’t understand what Parker said to them at half time but we went negative and simply couldn’t pass to each other, totally lacking in cohesion, ball retention, effort and desire to get the ball forward at pace. I do worry that we cannot play a consistent style of play over ninety minutes.

I'd be more worried about the player you claimed was the best striker in the division, if I were you.

Couldn’t find our players 80% of the time. Caught out at the back post with their chance in the last 2 mins. He’s not a good defender. It’s just how it is sometimes.
I think you've got that the wrong way round, he actually had an 81% pass completion rate tonight ;)

From Tele.

Traff-6. Not a lot to do really and couldn't do anything with the goal. Sometimes I can't help but feel he puts us under unnecessary pressure when holding possession.

Since day 1..........drives me round the bend.

Yes he scored today but imo was very poor. Lightweight and lost the header on the goal.

Absolutely dying on this hill, aren’t you? He wasn’t too bad at Preston and whilst the boy Salech up top gave him a tough night, he wasn’t that bad tonight either.

Best player in the league.

You don't expect people to be accurate with their player assignations do you

Some should look up the definition of abysmal, then maybe they wouldn't be dishing out 3s so easily

This should have been put to bed by half time, Cardiff are bobbins.

Trafford 6
Roberts 4
Egan-Riley 6
Esteve 6
Pires 6
Cullen 7
Brownhill 7
Hannibal 7
Anthony 6
Edwards 4
Flemming 5

Laurent 4
Foster 5

A hard fought win, more so than it needed and everyone looked a bit embarrassed to be doing the tinpot fist pumping thing at the end but the result was what mattered tonight.

Trafford 6- too keen to punch but ok
Roberts 5 - though he lacked concentration last nt
Esteve 7- steady as ever plus goal but is he THAT great?
CJER- 7 did his job
Pires 6- at times ok at others almost childlike naivety
Cullen-7 ticked it over
Brownhill 7- back to business
Hannibal 7 good 1st half ( unmarked ) drifted 2nd
Anthony 6- ok but just looks a “ not quite prem “ player
Edwards 6- few nice runs /crosses 2nd half
Flemming 5- no lack of effort but..
Subs
Sarmiento 5
Foster 4- awful it pains me to say
Laurent 5-

I think he’s an excellent player.

I just don’t think he’s as good as some make out.

I don’t see a top top player there. Next season will give us a good indication but I am starting to see some real weaknesses to his game.

I think right now ER is showing to be a better player

Flemming doesn't seem to attack the ball in the box. It's OK saying he's a 10, but watch Brownhill. He's a central midfielder. It was a good header to set up Esteve, but he did little else, unfortunately.

It means extremely bad, I thought Pires was extremely bad I can't remember many good things he did.
He defended poorly, he kept possession poorly, can you tell me the things he did well?

If you've looked that up on Google, the entry that says extremely bad, continues with "appalling" and he wasn't either of those
One thing he did well...81% pass success, it's neither bad or appalling tbh

Not saying Flemming had a great game and he missed his big chance, but his headed assist was superb. An assist that won us the game in the end.

Not got time for my usual comments other than to say I felt that the stop-start performance, good in places, bad in others, was likely due to fallout after Saturday. Some players will have felt the same as the fans and would have wanted a real go. Maybe never played at Wembley.

I expect that to settle down now and reset so I am hoping for much more against Luton.

Well it's all about opinions, your quick to have a go at other people's ratings but don't give your own.
I thought he was abysmal and think he is in most games, I hope he improves but I haven't seen any improvement in him this season.

Do you go to work and excel every day? I love the way some fans expect footballers to be on top form every game. It’s so unrealistic
