Bloody hell that was worse than watching Burnley hang on to a 1-0. Well done Pompey that's blown it wide open at the top.

Well well well.

As folks have said - long way to go. We've just got to keep doing the business and keeping the pressure on.

How will Leeds react to ******* away a 5 point lead on the Blades?

5 points dropped in 2 games. It’s the annual Leeds collapse. Who would’ve predicted that?

Leeds have Millwall next…

Millwall have beaten them twice already this season.

Great result. Really surprising given that Portsmouth were apparently cannon fodder that we should have been thrashing only a few weeks ago

They’ve still got to be strong favourites to take one of the automatic spots but it shows there’s likely to be a few twists and turns along the way, and if we hit Parker’s points target that will likely be enough.

I'll take us losing to Milwall and Blackburn beating Sheff U on the last kick of the season to make us champions.

Have the fixtures worked out a bit kinder for us? We have the hardest run on paper but you don't want to be playing the relegation threatened teams later on in the tail end of the season

Sheff United kick off at 8pm on Tuesday so if we score in the first 15 mins we can a brief moment of glory...:)

Why? Two points at this stage is nothing. It’s all about form at this stage of the season and Leeds have the worst form of the top three at the moment. We’ll see how they react on Wednesday but it could be the start of a serious ‘blip’.

Leeds are not the strong favourites for anything. Genuine 2 from 3 now with ten games left and the key ingredient is bottle now. You can’t even rule out Sunderland if they win 5 or 6 on the bounce. Anything can happen in ten games.

The bookies won’t but I make us favourites because of the incredible defence and the fact that we have improved where others were at full tilt. Defences win leagues and attacks win games.

Leeds have only won 3 of their last 13 games kicking off before 1:30pm.

They go to both QPR and Luton for 12:30 kick offs within the next month :)

Potts in midfield for Portsmouth looks a good player.
Indeed he does. Tenacious, good vision and anticipation. Also has a great football brain for such a young player. Formerly of West Ham’s academy. Wonder if he’s related to other Potts who’ve played for West Ham in the past

Well they're effectively 3 points above us so are strong favourites to finish above us, which would secure them an automatic promotion spot.

Bookies have Leeds at 1/4 to win the league. Thats a nonsense price with ten games to go when they have 1 point in the last 2 and there is a team on a 23 game unbeaten run just 2 points behind.

Looking forward to the next release from the Leeds podcasters who’ve been telling anyone wanting to listen them how they’ve already won the Championship and it’s between Blades and Sunderland for the runners up position.
It’s going to be a great run-in over the last 10 games. None of the aforementioned teams have the tenacity that Burnley have for getting the job done.

And we’ve gained five points more than them in the last two games. The bookies will have their favourites but it really is two from three now. I couldn’t confidently predict the order of the top three come 10pm Wednesday never mind the end of the season!

A lot of flack was spread after our 0-0 draw but Pompeys home record after a shaky start to their season is very good
Since Nov they have played 12 home games with 9 wins and two draws after 3 draws and 3 defeats from their first 6 at home
And like us have taken 4 points off Leeds

Ignore Coventry at your peril-they are the form team in the Division just now and I would put them favourites to win the play offs if they continue their present form-I think it is 9 wins in last 10 with a defeat to Leeds

Only if we keep winning and we've plenty of tough games starting Tuesday with arguably one of the toughest. The key is not necessarily to be in the top two before we host Sheffield U, but to be in it after they depart with just two more to play. The law of averages suggests even the best teams have an unforeseen blip every so often and maybe Leeds will assume they've just had theirs today. I think injuries or suspensions are going to be crucial too because our two CBs for example are largely irreplaceable, as are Cullen, Edwards, Roberts and arguably Trafford. Plus we've only one fit left back (which could be why we saw Roberts having 15 minutes there yesterday?) We'll see!

They have had a good run of results but to make them favourites for a mini competition that takes place in two months time and not knowing the clubs that will be in it is a fair stretch of the imagination.

Strong favourites? Are you sure? We were strong favourites two seasons ago with a lead of around 10 points. Slight favourites at best surely. Just less than a quarter of the season remains that is not played on a spreadsheet.

Indeed. They'd conceded 11 in their first 22 matches.

Including our game on Boxing Day it's now 16 in 14 matches since then :)

I suppose the lose of Souttar has been balanced up a bit by their players they've now acquired up front.
