Trafford - 6
Roberts - 6
CJ - 5 (-1 for the red)
Esteve - 7
Pires - 6. A couple of decent crosses, but not seeing a MOTM performance.
Cullen - 6
Brownhill - 5. Anonymous dogger.
Anthony - 7. My MOTM.
Hannibal - 5
Edwards - 5. He was marked out of the game. I hope it isn’t a case of Stop Edward’s, Stop Burnley in the future.
Flemming - 5. Despite his goal, he obviously isn’t a striker.

Typical over reaction on this board. Do we really expect all teams to come and roll over, like Luton?
WBA were up for this one, well organised and skillful.
We had them under the cosh after we scored and missed our chance to go ahead before half-time.
I thought they were the better team in the second half.

Trafford - 6 - not much to do. He will get caught out by sloppy passing across the back four if he's not more careful.
Roberts - 6 - struggled to be his usual influence. Didn't really link up with Edwards
CJ - 6 - Some good forward runs. His long passing wasn't working. I didn't see the sending off incident, but pretty stupid, if he is culpable.
Esteve - 7 - Had to battle hard last night. A good test for him.
Pires - 8 - MOTM for me. Tried to be positive and linked up well with Anthony. Best I've seen from him.
Cullen - 7 - A usual hard fought effort
Brownhill - 6 - some good and went missing at times when needed
Anthony - 7 - our most dangerous threat. Not at his best, but worked well with Pires
Hannibal - 6 - as Brownie. Needs to stop getting involved with opposition fans and concentrate on his game
Edwards - 6 - Just didn't get the support. He was left out on the right on his own too often. He needs the midfield to support him. Perhaps Laurent is a better option for this reason. One sublime ball he lifed over the defence for Anthony.
Flemming - 6 - Good poacher's goal, but he doesn't offer enough in this role. He doesn't hold the ball up, his heading is not great either.

Subs -I thought Barnes did ok, but all too late to change the game.

What really annoys me is how often an attacking throw to us ends up back with Trafford. We gain some good advantages and then lose momentum too often. I'm beginning to think that we will end up in the play offs, but lots of games to go still. UTC!

Sorry forgot Foster - 5 - pity about the injury, didn't have time to make any impact

From tv
Trafford 6 not much to do, but wayward and slow distribution when we were chasing a win at one apiece
Roberts 6 didn't get as much chance to get forward because West Brom pressured our wide players brilliantly throughout the game and we had no idea how to counteract this
CJ 6 not his best night
Esteve 7 made some great blocks and tackles straight after his head injury
Pires 7 his best game for us
Cullen 7 too much sideways and backwards passing
Brownhill 7 worked hard but when Hannibal plays in this more forward role it negates Brownhill's forward runs totally. This needs to change quickly
Hannibal 4 huffed and puffed but nothing happens apart from Brownhill not getting forward as much
Edwards 5 he's slowly getting used to our passing back rather than forwards style, he was wasted last night
Flemming 6 he did some great hold up play in the first half and got his goal
Anthony 7 a good performance but I wish he had more strength in his game.
Foster 6 on his own up front against three centre backs. Injury won't help.
We reverted to Parker's slow, slow, backwards, slow style and of play. Our front three were powder puff against a well organized, robust defence, and we only scored the one goal because their keeper made a mistake. Credit to West Brom who closed down Cullen and our wide players nonstop for the whole of the game. Unfortunately we (Parker) simply hasn't got an answer to this apart from trying to keep possession by a sideways and backwards passing game. His team selection with Hannibal playing high up the pitch doesn't allow Brownhill to get forward as much, which reduces our goal attempt chances. We created nothing in the second half when we should have been going hell for leather for a win. Disappointing.
