Chelsea's all-time season fewest goals conceded was 15 in 38 games.

We're at 38 games now and have conceded 11.

Monumnetal defensive achievement for our defence.

James Trafford
Connor Roberts
Maxime Esteve
Pires
Basir Humphreys

They deserve a plaque at the club at very least. A proud record.

I think you can add

the English record for fewest goals against in first 38 games - was Chelsea with 15 (a full Premier League season) 11 is the new mark

Trafford with 26 Clean sheets extends his single season record

Don't know how the heck I missed out CJ Egan-Riley who has been one the main Three Mouseketeers.

I was distracted thinking if I should even include the likes of Sonne and Worrall but it's an unforgivable ommission!

Incredible. The training and methodology of doing this must have been extensive. Hats off Scotty parker. That 9-0 defeat against Liverpool has worked wonders for us

30 remains the Football League record for clean sheets, set by Port Vale in the 1950's.

We need to keep four more clean sheets in the remaining eight games to surpass that!

He’s no Nick Pope. Hopefully he will be as good but I doubt we will see him in a Burnley shirt beyond this season.

He may go on to be just that….

But I can think of two who were considerably better at this level.

Fantastic achievement by a team who are absolutely pulling up trees for each other. Dyche levels of togetherness.

James Trafford gets the Press Plaudits but he and we know, it is the whole team that are behind this remarkable record.

It's quite amazing when you think that the defence that played today was the same one that started that shambles of a game against Sunderland after the chaos of all those departures early in the season.

Remarkable turnaround from Trafford this season, and he will go on to get more England caps than Heaton and Pope (and probably all our other keepers) combined

But we’ve had some tremendous keepers in our history.

The team's defensive record is due to the team's shape and work rate off the ball, which is down to all the players successfully effectively executing SP and his staff's game plan - so credit to literally the entire footballing operation because that it sensational and should be given more praise/credit from our fans.

I don’t think any of us expected Egan Riley to go on to become the player he has this season. Unbelievable.

100% best keeper we've had, certainly in the 40 years I've been watching Burnley, so confident, it all comes so easy to him

Close pushed by Heaton for me, pope is behind the pair of them

Trafford's England call up is likely very good news for us, I think most of us know he'll be gone in in the summer but his form and the call up should have put the price up considerably. I still think City will be in for him.

So pleased Trafford will be fondly remembered when he leaves . We’ve been blessed with so many goalies who’ve excelled at the top level that Trafford would not be in a top 6

Amazing season from CJ. Started as usual, sat on the bench making up the numbers. Chucked in for the chaotic Sunderland game, then back on bench. It was only when Worrall got injured he was given a chance at centre half.

Strange to think but for that he’d probably be moving quietly on to Barnsley or Burton in the summer. Now we’ll be gutted when he gets an (almost) free move to a Prem team.

It is a team effort, but Traff has improved so much. The ability has always been there, but this season he looks so much more mature and confident. Still very young for a keeper so his horizon looks limitless.

It's an incredible record, with so many games that come thick and fast maintaining that discipline is just amazing. Every single game you can see the likes of Esteve celebrating every block. Not just one off "big games", every single one. And that doesn't happen by accident, Parker has to get enormous credit for the togetherness and attention to detail.

As for Trafford, he's needed this season so badly. The goalkeeping world is his for the taking, he's that good. I think it's slightly harsh on the likes of Pope to say he's ahead at this point, given he and Heaton shone against some of Europe's best attacking forces in the Premier league. But I've no doubt potential-wise, he has everything in his locker to have a better career in terms of trophies and England caps. He's ridiculously good for his age.

Well cool claret when he plays more than 4 games for England in a world cup, while playing for us, i might agree with you.

I will let you find out who the was, maybe something you could google when its half term.

still cant believe how we managed a clean sheet against Sunderland. Those two penalty saves had to be seen to be believed
I thought Pope's save against Leicester which was the start of our revival in the Prem a few seasons ago was PDG but Trafford saving those two in quick succession were amazing more so the way this young man psyched out the lad from Sunderland.

It's an incredible achievement, especially given the age of the back 5. I suspect Trafford and Esteve will go onto achieve great things. Trafford hasn't hit Pope or Heaton levels for me yet, as they proved themselves at the top level, but there's no doubt Trafford has a higher ceiling. If he gets the right move, he'll be in line to take over from Pickford as England no.1 after the next World Cup.
