Cannot want a team with those owners to win, which is a shame because they are overdue, deserve it so far today, are the only side to have played their first choice keeper in a major final, and have an ex Claret manager, 2 players and another who is the son of an ex Claret.

2-0 while typing. Will win now for sure.

Liverpool have been absolutely dreadful. This is a classic case of one team wanting it more than the other.

I also remember Stanley Park after our trips to Anfield in the 80's, so I'll stick with the Geordies.

I think it was when he played against us at Championship level that someone on here said Dan Burn was the worst defender they'd ever seen!
Good header, but he's shite. Let's be honest

Crowd scenes then with all their scarves aloft sends shivers down your spine and then the icing on the cake showing Ant & Dec. Can't help but have a soft spot for Newcastle when you see how much football means to their fans

Casper2 don't forget in 1974 the Texaco Cup fiasco that reverted to one leg because of their Cup Final appearance and the draw at the Turf last game of the season depriving us of a European slot at the minutest of goal average fraction.

Great match being ruined by Peter Dreary.

“It’s Barnes, it’s Trippier, it’s Joelinton, it’s Barnes, IT’S ISAK!!!”

Never describes what is happening during an attacking phase.

At least it's not Mark Scott, who would have added an unnecessary vowel to the end of every one of those players' names!

It’s a tv commentary, is there any need to?

I'm definitely stuck in the middle regarding this game. Liverpool are my second team, and while I totally agree no team deserves success but Newcastle fans filled St James Park through their darkest days. Geordie fans do deserve some success.

Most others seem to. I like Tyldersley myself but accept he is not to everyone’s taste.

I tend to multitask while football is on so I like description, this guy’s style is so repetitive I find him irritating.

I'm with you convoy , I've got a scar on my arm from the Stanley park episode . Some little toads with blades tried to slash Burnley fans before the match , for no reason at all . Luckily I put my arm up to protect my face ! After the game ( which we lost ) , it was still carnage walking round the park to get back to the coaches .

yet they cream their pants every time we have to listen to that dross "You'll never walk alone" pre match..
They'll be trying to give it the same status as The Haka, and having clubs that boo or disrupt it fined.

Each to their own but if I’m watching a match on tv, all I want from the main commentator is telling me whose got the ball and a few crappy stats.

Anyway, I accept Liverpool have had a great season but bad month, yet I do prefer Klopp’s style to Slot’s. That slow build up, no sense of urgency, feels easy to defend a lead against. There is a noticeable lack of tempo (something we can relate to). They break quick, but building from the back is laborious.

Apart from one season they averaged over 20k for the 10 years prior to Keegan and was always above the division 1 average for those seasons

I'd rather have a team win with Saudi connections
It's not just a Saudi connection. Its full blown Saudi Government ownership dressed up as something else. A government known for its oppressive regime, who kills journalists that expose them, and is widely believed to have committed war crimes. And we have just allowed them to walk into our sport, and wash their hands with it
