What pub is local to you?

Do you know of any bars in your main centre that shows the football?

My local doesn't have a tv, and if it did I wouldn't go near the place.

My local, here in Solihull, is actually called 'The Dingle'! Mainly shows Birmingham or Villa games on the telly.

Were well stocked round here. Considering we live in the suburbs, we have 3 pubs and 2 bars within about 200 yards. Plenty more within a mile or so. That said, some are better than others. All the pubs show the footy. Bars less so.

I've five pubs and two clubs within 100m from my front door.in Padiham.

Pubs:

The Padiham Tap
Hand & Shuttle
Free Gardeners
The Kings
Starkie Arms

Clubs:

Molly Rigby's
Top Club.

I'm unable to work out how some of these businesses continue to survive. I recently walked past the Starkies just after half time when the Clarets were playing away and they had the Sky coverage on the big screens.

There were 6 people in the pub and only 2 of them were actually watching the football.

I've got a few, but closest is a 15 minute walk away, other 3 are 20-25 minutes (or 35 minutes+ with the dog)
1 for talking rubbish with like minded - my favourite
1 a but more upmarket, for drinks with the good lady
1 for a drink with people barred from pub number 1
1 for sports (big screens etc)

key considerations: Dog Friendly, not smelly, no drugs, friendly staff.

I live in Colne within easy reach of the Union, the Commercial, the Red Lion, the Wallace Hartley (King's Head), the Jovial Hatters, the Duke of Lancaster (Shepherd's Arms), the Bees' Knees, and the Market Street Tavern (Hole in the Wall). Plus the Crown, the Lord Rodney, and the Morris Dancers if I fancy a bit of a stroll. And a couple of micro pubs on Derby Street. But I couldn't tell you which ones show the football!

Holmes Mill and no football is ever shown. Closest proper pub would be the New Inn or the Horseshoe Inn and I don’t think they show the footy either.

Very strange thread. How the question is worded after the title seems a little strange in deed, almost like someone trying to catch certain pubs out whcih show football but don’t perhaps have the correct license. I may well be way off the mark, just find it a little odd.

Anyway 2 of my locals do show sport, the others don’t.

Ram Inn - No one goes in
Queen - Few regulars that haven’t yet been insulted by the landlord
Kettle - used to have a tv but not anymore
No point the Old Bill raiding any of these .

It's probably just a coincidence but there was an advert for Samsung at half time of the England game tonight, that asked you to message Luca, sports bars (I think it said showing the footy)

Definitely looks like a bot posting. Main Centre?? Who says that?

Pubs are not allowed in my village as it's built upon old Quaker land. Covenants specifically forbid the opening of such establishments

Or it could be for a site or page that collects information on pubs that show sports to help visitors ? There are definitely a couple of sites that do this if you if you go on Google, usually if you type in something along the lines of "pubs that show sport"

I'm not sure there are any pubs in the town centre that show sports these days, I can't think of one.

There's certainly plenty around tho, including ones that show most Burnley games. Not naming them though

Closest pub is Salty's in Grand Harbour, otherwise it's Fidel Murphy's on Seven Mile Beach. Both will show the mightly clarets if you ask nicely - though they might only put it on one small TV tucked away in a corner!
