Ticket Exchange system

Post by IanMcL » Sat Mar 29, 2025 11:19 am

Sadly, after extensive dental surgery, all day, Thursday, I am not yet recovered for the 450 mile round trip today.

First miss for some years, I think. Might have missed one on a cruise.

Anyway, I tested the Ticket Exchange for the first time. My super seat on the halfway line, in Longside Upper rear was resold in an hour. Impressed.

Whoever purchased it - enjoy the match. Glad seat is filled. Very envious though!

Yes that’s impressive, obviously a good seat. Hope the dental surgery settles down for you and you’re back at the Turf soon, Incidentally I’m impressed with the dedication of your travel.

Thanks Beddie. I hope it settles soon too. Impossible to eat!

Next match should be fine. Fingers crossed.

Got my season ticket 10 years ago, when my wife died, as part of grief relief. Extensive away travel prior to that.

Travelled up from Salisbury. Now down from Stirling (equidistant) with hops up or down taking in the Turf.

Love it. Up the Clarets.

My Dad has bought 2 tickets from the bloke who usually sits next to him for the Sheff Utd game. Will they go onto his card and how does it work with the 2 people who are taking the seats? Never done it before so not sure how it works

Very close to a sell out today by the looks of it.

Definitely didn’t look like a sell out. Lots of empty seats. Shame as I think that’s close to the best we’ve played all season

Weird though as there were loads of empty seats.

There could be just 100 people sat in the seats, but it would still be classed as a sell out if they had sold all the tickets

If you put your ticket up for exchange and the club sell it on, do you actually get paid for it ?

Yes Accy. Mine is a senior ticket, so it said I am credited with £15 and some pence. Not sure what that means though!

The ticket Exchange says it is not available for tickets in the CFS. Though it will allow you you register them as available. I have never had a response for those I've put on there though. My son and grandkids weren't there yesterday as my grandson had a cup semi-final at 11am in Northampton. That was 5 empty seats in the CFS.

Plus, you have to realise that the CFS is very crowded at the back, with up to 3 people per seat from what I've seen!

Yes it isn't available but the club (still) don't seem to officially mention this anywhere as an exclusion.

I have spoken to the club several times about this pointing out that spares in the CFS are widely available through Twitter / X etc so they might as well make it official and sell them through the club but the only really response I have had has been that its seen as a safety issue and will be reviewed at the end of this season and the outcome will be communicated to fans (I very much doubt the last part unless there is a positive outcome to the discussions.

It means that your account will be credited with the £15+ within a few days of last weekends game. You can then use that money to sirens on merchandise or towards another ticket, home or away.

It doesn’t work for me, tried a few times to list tickets and it just fails. Pretty good with tech on the whole. Can’t go next Friday because of the late change and not even trying to list it.

Can also use it to offset future season ticket purchases.

I've used this facility a few times now and find it a really good and easy option.
