Very good apart from the farcical booking for Edwards. Could have given Cullen a red but looking from behind Cullen he couldn’t see just how poor a challenge it was.

Should have red carded Sainz for the clear, blatant elbow on Roberts. He wasn’t even looking at the ball, just a nasty elbow in the face, no using arms for leverage,or to jump- just trying to hurt an opponent.

Linesman called it. Terrible decision but I'm not sure Harrington to blame

I take it you were on the turf? Watched it on TV and it was never an elbow or a red.
A deliberate move into Connor, yes. Made no contact with his face though which Connor was rolling around holding.

I was very surprised he didn't give a foul (or blow for the ball to be dead if it was before the ball came in) for a pretty obvious shove on Roberts as the corner from which they scored came in. Booking Edwards also seemed curious.
Otherwise fine.

Didn't like the Edward's decision. Flemming deserved more decisions. Allowed free kicks to be taken miles away from anywhere. Not bad compared to most we've had though. Actually did not really affect the game.

One of those refs who makes an easy game look difficult. Cullen’s booking was garbage, especially when you see some of the stuff he let go. Good to see him book a player for diving in the middle of the pitch, most refs let them go. The Edwards booking for the same offence was a shocker however, although the liner gave that. It wasn’t a foul but it wasn’t a dive.

They showed a close up on Sky. There was no face contact at all it was just a hefty shoulder barge. Just a FK.

Correct. Read my earlier reply, just above. Amazing what you can see in close up that somebody 100yds away, talking to his mate can’t.

Not bad.
Should have warned their manager for constantly leaving his area. At one time he was almost at the corner flag.

Atrocious booking for Cullen
I think you have spelt Edwards wrong.
Another ref could have sent Cullen off and we'd have had few complaints.

Red or no red, there were definitely two nailed on yellows for Cullen.
He was a very lucky boy.

Ref did well overall, but maybe Cullen got a little bit lucky and to me Edwards slipped and fell over and wasn't intentionally diving and wasn't actually claiming a foul so I thought his card was wrong.

There was enough contact (shove in the back) on Edwards for him to go down, possibly a free kick or play on. It wasn't a dive, liner fancied getting in on the act. The ref got the Norwich yellow card spot on, there was no contact.
I reckon if the Norwich incident hadn't happened, Edwards wouldn't have been booked.

Didn't card the Norwich player who went straight through the back of Edwards but couldn't wait to card Cullen for a pretty innocuous foul. The Edwards booking was a joke & Flemming was battered from pillar to post in the first half without any punishment.

Harrington mouthed to Davies is it a dive after he had flagged (which was the only thing he got wrong all night) best we’ve had in front of the Bob Lord for years

No need to be so sarcastic. Was simply asking a question and letting you know what happened.

Apologies. No sarcasm was intended. I was confused between two separate posts where one had said definite elbow and you had agreed with me.

I thought he had a good game - yes he got the Edwards booking wrong, he gave a few soft free kicks for both teams, but overall he was decent. No complaints
