Clarets Foundation
Is anyone on here a member?
I've just had an annual Direct Debit come out that I signed up for at the Luton home game in March but I have totally forgot what I even get for it, other than entries into the lottery.
Do I get notifications of if I've won or can I see anything online? I signed up in the Clarets Store and have literally no real idea of what I paid for.
Cheers!

Re: Clarets Foundation
Same here, been in it for years and won a few quid .
You could, I believe, get priority for tickets but I'm not even sure that applies now.
Other than that, I've no idea.

Re: Clarets Foundation
I'm almost sure he said I get some sort of free gift and priority tickets to away games also. But I genuinely can't remember. It'd been that long since I'd been to the Turf I was just happy to chat to the guy. Hoodwinked perhaps but it's no big deal really.
I don't even know my membership number or anything. I just filled in a piece of paper and that was it.

Re: Clarets Foundation
Been in it from the start. You used to get access to the Foundation lounge in the Jimmy Mac pre-match with quiz and an ex player guest. Also Foundation evenings at the turf.Pens, key rings and discount in bars and club shop but nothing like that now, just entry to weekly draw and access to a few away tickets from what I can gather.
Re: Clarets Foundation
I've been in since it began but I'd forgotten all about it til I "won" a scratch card last week , it was a loser so I didn't really win anything but at least I know I'm in it.

I used to drink in 'The Centre Spot' pre match, free quiz and ex player guest, never got overly busy.
I don't even know if that bar still exists.

Won the top prize in about 2008 or so, plus the occasional £10.
And still get an option on away tickets.

Re: Clarets Foundation
Been in it for years. Won a couple of 25 quids down the years and recently a scratch card which surprisingly wasn't a winner.
Used to be excellent benefits especially the pre match in the Jimmy McIlroy. Overtime every perk went.
No discount in club shop or fanzone;
No pre match in Jimmy McIlroy lounges;
Tried numerous times for 'priority' away tickets back before I was in top bracket, never managed to get any.
Would imagine now with the money the club has my £100 a year or so isn't much use any more.

Re: Clarets Foundation
I was approached in the club shop at last weeks game about joining the Foundation. I told him I had been in the Foundation years ago when the club needed all the financial help it could get but now with American owners and PL cash and with hindsight £5 million pounds to agents means my £100 or whatever will stay in my pocket.
Thinking about it I also paid Barnsey for Life membership of Clarets Trust and now don't receive anything from them.
Grumpy boxer shorts on this morning after remembering about the Trust it had shares in the club.

Re: Clarets Foundation
Does anyone know if the Foundation gets tied to my Clarets Number? How do the away ticket priorities work? It all seems quite old fashioned now that I'm looking into it properly.

Re: Clarets Foundation
I was in the Foundation for years but cancelled it around 2019 when I realised I was still making a “charitable” donation of £8pm to a £100m+ turnover business !!
Won a couple of tenners in the lottery and used to be able to go in a lounge in the Jimmy Mac pre-match but the best thing I got out of my membership was the ability to get a ticket for Reading away in the play-off semi-final.

Re: Clarets Foundation
They ring fence a limited amount of tickets so you can purchase them irrespective of any previous purchase history, while stocks last. Once you've bought a ticket then you get the points added to your Clarets numberClaretAndJew wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 8:07 amDoes anyone know if the Foundation gets tied to my Clarets Number? I've never seen any information regarding how many tickets are allocated.
I was a member for many years and always managed to secure tickets, aside from when we got into Europe and no tickets were made available.

Sounds like a bit of a pointless exercise that I've signed up for then.Croydon Claret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 8:14 amThey ring fence a limited amount of tickets so you can purchase them irrespective of any previous purchase history, while stocks last. It would be better if I could see it online, like tied to my Clarets Number, all the info in my page on the website etc. I just feel like I've forked over money and now don't have any real idea about anything other than the lottery. Oh well.

A lot of other prizes / experiences to win on there that I didn't realised. Never see any of the experience days being advertised as being won.Claretnick wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 8:28 amThis is what I found on the club website, scroll to foundation link
