3 points. That's all that matters. The last 20 minutes were so unbelievably stressful but I suppose strange things happen at this point in the season.
91 points though with 3 games left is unbelievably good.

Re: Watford v Burnley - Player Ratings
Trafford 10 - the two moments of the season in hindsight, the penalty saves then today, world class save got us chance of 3 points
Roberts 7 - not the same finesse going forward and not athletic enough to defend without a defensive winger in front
Egan Riley 9 - top class tackle at the end after our negative tactics threatened to blow us up
Esteve 7 - missed the header for the goal and was reckless storming out at the end which nearly cost us
Pires 7 - tidy and kept his head in a roughhouse game untypical of Brazil or Spain
Cullen 6 - a little wild by his standards
Brownhill 6 - great winner but was quiet otherwise
Hannibal 5 - poor throughout and I cannot remember a chance creating moment
Edwards 8 - nervy initially but didn’t hide and ended up our most effective player with most (of the attackers) passes, touches and fouls against in dangerous areas
Anthony 7 - well shackled but for the one key moment for the first goal
Flemming 8 - poor for large parts but got a great goal and put himself about thereafter to great effect
Laurent 6 - just seeing the game out
Not sure our gameplan, tactics or mentality won us the game today. In truth it looked like we would blow it (as other rivals nervily have too). The thing that won us the game was Trafford. Could have saved the goal, but the save for the long shot was world class, and the equaliser immediately following meant it was arguably the moment of the season (an award the Sheffield Clarets used to hand out). He then saved one or two more very impressively.
The nerves give them a free pass, but I was disturbed by the way we responded to the red cards. We had 2 options. Go for it and try to get a third, upon which they would buckle and we could go for 6 to make inroads to DL goal difference. Or, the option we took - sit on it, keep them at arms length, and try to see out the win, a la Stockport play off final. I hated watching that and it nearly cost us, it may have been justice if it did.
But 30 unbeaten is a reason for only celebration, we celebrate, we move on, and try to win promotion and break the 1920 record on Monday.

A couple of classic utc ratings comments about Hannibal, couldn't get involved and no chance creating moment. Have to question if said posters actually watched the game.

Tough game today against a physical Watford side who clearly played with freedom, given their season was all but over. Always felt we’d find a winner second half, probably should have put the game to bed, but weird things happen at this stage of the season, and I’m glad we didn’t let it happen to us!

A huge huge win in a bizarre game. A really sloppy first half and then by far the better team aided by them losing their heads in 2nd half. The remarkable Trafford save a huge turning point reminded me of a similar huge turning point in a game where Jordan Rhodes hit the post!

Re: Watford v Burnley - Player Ratings
A huge if slightly uncertain win on a day when winning was all that mattered.
Trafford- 9 - two outstanding saves in the first half to keep us afloat. A slightly less convincing save late on, but did enough.
Roberts - 7 - great ball in for the winner and linked up better going forwards, steady enough defensively after a bit of an examination first half.
Pires - 8 - his passing was generally excellent and he kept Watford's right side buttoned up.
Egan Riley - 7 - an outstanding block late on although I think his positioning was partly the reason for the opportunity in the first place, and a great ball for the equaliser. One or two nervous moments defensively
Esteve- 6 - uncharacteristically lost the flight of the ball for the opening goal and one or two other hesitant moments. I'm not sure it was in the game plan for him to charge into midfield late on and lose possession but we got away with it.
Cullen- 8 - kept his head whilst all about him were losing theirs.
Brownhill- 8 - got the winner and got through a lot of other work at both ends of the pitch.
Hannibal- 6 - really nice touch back across for the winner but other than that he wasn't much of an influence on proceedings.
Edwards- 6 - started extremely uncertainty but grew into the game without ever setting it alight, but once again his value was shown when he created the space for the winner.
Anthony - 7 - fabulous touch and ball in for the equaliser and
Involved in neat build up before our winner. Steady away otherwise.
Flemming- 7 - wonderful header to equalise, probably should have done better with a couple of earlier openings, held the ball up OK.
For 25 minutes we struggled in this game, but then for 45 minutes we were excellent give or take a couple of self-inflicted moments when we might have been 2-0 down but for Trafford. 1-1 was fair enough at half time and we bossed the second half until the goal. Watford then self destructed but whilst we kept the ball OK thereafter we didn't really penetrate as much as you'd have expected and the last 5 minutes inevitably got a little fraught as a result. But the win is everything. Now to handle the pressure on Monday, play the game not the occasion and keep our heads.

Re: Watford v Burnley - Player Ratings
Trafford 9** His concentration level is outstanding
Roberts 7 Quietly efficient
Egan-Reilly 8 As you come to expect from him, solid.
Esteve 8 As for CJ
Pires 7 Who said he was a liability?
Cullen 7 Tough battle until their first Red card
Brownhill 7 Right place again once he was able to get forward more
Hannibal 7 Battled and battled
Edward’s 6 Has undoubted ability but not physicality
Fleming 8 Maybe one of his best games for us
Anthony 8 He is consistent now and anything can happen when he has the ball
Laurent 7
What a strange game and why Watford resort to stupidity when they are a capable side is mind boggling. They must be kicking themselves now there is nobody else to kick.

Poor lethargic first 20. Sat back last 20 as I thought we would when no need. Some good stuff in between and nice team involvement for 2nd. Watford lost their heads.

Re: Watford v Burnley - Player Ratings
From a busy Goodies Bar in Benalmadena
Trafford 9, some outstanding saves
Roberts 7 not a great first half, but good in the second
CJ 8 some great tackles
Esteve 8 as per usual
Pires 7 same comment as Roberts
Cullen 8 our best midfielder
Brownhill 7 good allround performance topped off with a goal
Hannibal 6 sometimes he tries too hard
Edwards 6 okay when he gets the ball in attack but he needs to be involved more
Flemming 9 our one attacking player who really fought for the team non stop
Anthony 8 still some frustrating touches, but when he's good he's good.
After a poor start, we turned it round against a good team to get three massively important points. They could have scored three or four in the first half and I was glad to go in at half time at 1-1. We were much better after the break and kept our heads and stuck to our game plan whilst they imploded mentally and physically. We'll done Scott Parker and all the team. Monday's game is going to be a bit special if we win, which I believe we can. COYC!!!
